We were there for 1 night only. This hotel suited out needs. We only need a place to sleep and the room and bed in this hotel were very nice. The staff is attentive and polite. A very nice view of Paris from the balcony.
like a journey of Jackie Chan movie in White country. A wired combination when greatest China architecture was actually stunning in Paris especially by the river bank. Mine was facing area to Eiffel Tower - Not fully appear but only the tip's of Eiffel tower visible from my room. Not much tourist during my stay, so not too bus. Thought the hotel may far from hart of city but it was not that far. Breakfast at 2 different restaurant to chose and Asian tourist from Mainland China or Asian country may suitable to enjoy breakfast at 2nd floor (typical Oriental cuisine and to Chinese style) while another restaurant near to lobby served you fresh American breakfast too. The room was spacious and very clean. Only basic amenities available in the hotel room. The main point is the room was very clean. Few beautiful garden complete this Chinese hotel make it look like an ancient forbidden city. If you wish to enjoy tradition honeymoon hotel in Paris with different characters of its interior and exterior or shooting places for special effect this is the best hotel to choose.
I stayed at this hotel with my wife in Nov 2016. This hotel was reserved by our tour, It has a balcony and a good view of the seine, but with the architecture of the hotel you feel as if you are in china not in Paris. No french atmosphere at all. There are several reasons why I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. First of all, the location is not good. You have to take a bus to take you to the metro station, or walk some long distance on foot. Even worse it takes around 50 minutes to get to the tourist attractions like Eiffle Tower. Imagine you have to spend 2 hours of each day for going to & returning from major tourist attractions. Moreover, the service and cleaning conditions are not good. When our room was being cleaned we were in the room because of sickness. The guy cleaning the bathroom was using the same sponge for cleaning everywhere in the bathroom the sink and the cups, on top of that, he used the towels in the bathroom to clean the floor and then the doorway. That was disgusting. Also, staff can't speak English. even everything in the room is written in Chinese. The hotel promotes good quality things on the net and doesn't offer you that. Even for breakfast they don't refill everything. Another problem was internet connection. It kept disconnecting. Also, A/C makes noise while working.
Very nice, clear and comfortable hotel. We had a quite large room with balcony. Staff was very nice. Tasty breakfast in small restaurant. In a minute you are on the bus stop. You can take bus which takes you to the metro or train into the city centre, or to the ZOO. It goes every cca 10min. Close to the hotel there are also some restaurants and fast food rest.and shop as well. We also tried hotel restaurant with tasty Chinese cusine.
Nice, big and clean, staff able to have a basic conversation in English but nothing more. 10 min away from the nearest metro station. Not the same service if you book for more than 1 day. Nothing refilled, no soaps even if we requested 3 times (at the end they gave us a small cheapest Chinese soap instead of the of the bvlgari promoted on the Internet). Tips: Better book on Internet (109€ per night/with the breakfast instead of more the 200€ if you book at the hotel)
Location wise, the Chinagora is not very spoiled: no public transportation around, far away from the city centre, in a boring residential area. The hotel itself is very Chinese style, so you really need to like the style to enjoy it. The rooms are big and very well furnished. Breakfast is pretty standard, nothing special. WIFI was not excellent, not working all the time. The staff can change, you have sometimes nice people sometimes rude people. The price is pretty fair.
We stayed here because it was recommended by the planners of the veterinary convention at Maison-Alfort. We were there for 6 nights. We had a car with a GPS which took us straight to the parking garage -- which has NO SIGNS WHATSOEVER. It it hadn't been the for the good graces of a security man who probably didn't even work there, we never would have found the stairs to go up into the hotel. I hope whoever is reading this will add some BIG signs, at least in French. Trying to negotiate with the front desk was a real exercise - they finally found someone on the staff who spoke English to help us, but this took a fair amount of scrambling. My husband and I had one room, and my daughter the veterinarian and her daughter, who had just graduated from high school, stayed in the other. The rooms were ok. The wi-fi only worked sometimes which was very aggravating. The only tv channel that had English was CNN so we listened to a lot of BREXIT discussion. The breakfasts were interesting -- mostly Chinese, but fried eggs were provided for us on request. We used the hotel as a basis for exploring Alfortville on foot and found many interesting restaurants and grocery stores and even a Budget Rent-a-car place. Having the rental car with a GPS to get between the hotel and conference site (and all other places in and around Paris) made this hotel ok as a home-base.
We were given this hotel as an option while attending a conference in the area. It appeared to be the best of the suggestions, so the chance was taken. The outside of the hotel leaves much to be desired and was under renovation when we arrived. Finding the entrance was quite a challenge, as there were gates blocking the driveway, trash all over the ground and no signage. Since we arrived, the newly renovated entrance has opened and is quite extravagant. Our rooms were spacious and clean, however the towels seemed well worn and had holes in them. The shower was lovely. HOWEVER, we had no access to wifi the entire time (6 days). The signal would appear, but would state "unable to join Chinagora". Everyone staying at this hotel for the conference had the same issue. The hotel staff responded with an "it happens" attitude.
The Chinagora largely caters to tourism from China. We were housed there associated with an event in Maisons-Alfort. It is rated at 4 stars, and the rooms are reasonably comfortable, the breakfast standard. The infrastructure was lacking, it seemed as though the informatic system was from an earlier century. The service was not exceptional, the room was not adequately cleaned, and resupplied each day. The major issue was the WiFI (or lack of). The system episodic, cutting out every minute or so, and it was nearly impossible to complete an email message. The technical support person did not recognize the problems, he was certain that the issue was connection. All other hotel guests to whom I spoke had the same difficulty. This was judged unacceptable in this day and age where our communication depends largely on the internet. I would not stay in this hotel again by choice.
Our tour has chosen this hotel as most hotels in Paris were fully booked due to France Open tournament. You will feel you are in China when entering this hotel, is a big hotel, the room is ok, breakfast is ok for us as for Asian you will feel happy to have Asian food such as dim sum, steam rice, etc. We had dinner in this hotel as well and the food is ok too.
