We loved our stay in Hotel Résidence Foch. A 5 min walk to the metro & 15 min walk to L'Arc De Triomphe - the location couldn't have been better! The hotel was very parisian, friendly helpful staff too. We loved our room, and were lucky enough to be upgraded to a room with a terrace. I can't fault our stay!
Small, intimate hotel. Stayed 2 nights with husband and 2 kids of 12 and 9. Booked 2 double rooms, which were not large but lovely decoration, really good quality, firm good mattresses and pillows, bathrooms also nicely done with baths. Reception service helpful and friendly. We had a great stay.
After reading several reviews about Residence Foch, I was so excited to stay there with my daughter - celebrating her 20th birthday! On March 21, I went online to make reservations for May 24-27. By mistake, i selected March 24-27. Clearly this was my error but I was not looking for a refund - rather - I simply wanted to shift the stay back to May. Orbitz was more than happy to help me and contact the hotel. They tried twice and twice Hotel Residence Foch (spoke to Deisy and Emma) refused to shift the reservation. I was willing to pay any change in the daily rate but still, they refused to help me. There can be exceptions to every rule and if the request has no direct impact to the hotel then you would think they would do everything they could to help the customer. This says to me that customer service is NOT a priority. My husband has recently been laid off his job so wasting more than $500 on a hotel stay never used will absolutely be a hardship for us. I would ask the management of Hotel Residence Foch to reconsider. Thank you.
We liked the hotel and our room very much. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the bed was very comfortable. It was a little longer walk to the restaurants and to the arc de triomphe than we expected but still very doable. There is a lot of construction on the main road.
The stay was pleasant, the service was great. The hotel is easy enough to get to from Metro station and is about 20/30 mins walk from Arc de Triomphe. Good restaurants are available nearby and shops too. Despite being in December, we found the room to be very warm - principally due to the open mini fridge cabinet. Despite complaining couple of times, the impact was not felt and we had to keep the window open through the night to sleep well.
Really nice and comfortable hotel. Very clean and welcoming. Nice breakfast, very friendly stuff. Just 5 minutes walk from Porte Maillot, central traffic area - including fast public traffic to and from the airport and all the classic highlights of Paris
I arrived very weary after a long haul flight at 8.30 in the morning. The staff were kindness personified. My room on the fifth floor was small but decorated with a quirky charm. At first, I was disappointed because the window faced on to a brick wall. However further exploration revealed french doors leading on to a private rooftop garden complete with table, chairs and olive trees. I was enchanted. The bathroom was perfect, the bed deliciously comfortable. I was astounded at the level of thought that had gone into the design of the room. The location was perfect: a very easy walk to the Arc de Triomphe and less than five minutes from Port de Maillot Metro. A word of warning: it is further away from CDG than you think. Allow at least an hour by cab. I can't wait to return for a longer stay.
we had stayed at the hotel a few years ago, we got two rooms back then since there where 5 of us. we go to Paris almost every year, we booked our room back in October and fully paid for it to take advantage of the offer they had online. we were going to take our two , almost three year old, but unfortunately had to changed things around when our 2 year old daughter was diagnosed with diabetes a week before Christmas. mmis order for us not to loose the plane ticket we decided to take our 7 year old ( which originally was not going to go because of the not missing school situation and because the went to paris with us last year). the airline was nice enough and transferred the plane ticket from one daughter to another for only $50, an exception that I know is rare since most place tickets are non transferable. they heard us and took into consideration our request a few days before the trip I sent an email asking how much was the breakfast for a 7 year old, to which they responded that our room was only fro two people, mind you we had included on the reservation our two year old. never did I imagine that from two to 7 they would charge me DOUBLE what I had already paid. they could not add a bed to our room, they would not accept my daughter unless I would upgrade to the triple room do to security purposes ( that's what Florent said on an email) what is the difference between the security of a two year old or 7 being in the room? non, they just needed to charge us more since the deal we got was great months ago. they had us, our reservation was nonrefundable, we needed to pay an additional 80 euros per night additional because we chose to take our 7 year old instead our 2 year old do to her health condition. the staff was great, especially a guy during the night shift, except a lady ( which I do not know her name that saw us walk out one day and screamed at us ( excuse me what room are u staying at) ???? hello where are your manners lady, to me she needed to make sure we were paying for a family room since we were three walking out.. Residence Foch, you got from us what you were going to get in a lifetime, I will never go back, despite to say, your location after all is the worst taking into consideration that the metro combinations are not the best to make it to where Paris started 9 by Notre Dame. good luck to those who choose the location
The hotel was very cozy with a very warm and welcoming staff. The rooms were very clean, comfortable beds, big bathroom. Location was very convenient. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again next time I am in Paris.
Stayed here for two nights in November and I've been meaning to write a review ever since. I really struggled to find a hotel which took my fancy whilst booking - we wanted something with a balcony, central and not too expensive. This was everything I'd hoped for and more. We came straight from the airport via train. The hotel is a short walk from the metro. It's on a quiet side street, typically Parisian and absolutely beautiful. I couldn't believe it when we walked in. The hotel was absolutely immaculate, beautifully decorated and spotless. The reception area is a dream. Staff were really friendly and accommodating - helpfully gave us a map and highlighted all the key spots and which direction in which to find them. All within walking distance or a metro ride if you wanted to save time. Our room was a superior room with terrace, room number 62. I did my usual research before arriving here and I did specifically request this room and I am so glad the hotel accommodated this request. I couldn't be more grateful! The room was again spotless. Typical Parisian decor with large terrace, a table and seating for two. Looking over to the beautiful buildings was a dream. The best thing was a view of the top of the Eiffel tower poking up over the buildings in the distance. Although only a partial view, this was absolutely magical at night and I couldn't drag myself away from the terrace during the hourly light show. Two nights wasn't enough here. I never go away intending to spend any time in the hotel, but I really didn't ever want to leave! I can't recommend this hotel enough to visitors, family and friends. I hope to be back one day very soon!!
