Amazing hotel, close to train and easy access to Eiffel Tower
Hotel Foch is a small "boutique" hotel with only 25 rooms. I've stayed in 3 different rooms in the hotel. The first room was labeled the "Romantic Room", and being a recently single guy on a trip alone to Europe, I thought please not that room. It was AMAZING. Not only was it on the entire top floor of the hotel - if had a spacious balcony with maintained plants and spectacular views. The bathroom was very large, modern and clean. I paid the same price and got a different room, this time without a balcony - decorated much more masculine, but still extraordinarily really well done. For half the cost of the first 2 rooms, I got a very very tiny - well decorated room with a bathroom even smaller. But the most frustrating aspect was that it was on a floor of the hotel with a few of the small rooms side by side. I was talking with my mom back in the states on FaceTime and an elderly Italian man started beating on the door and yelling at me. I slammed the door back in his face and finished my conversation - sucks you don't travel with earplugs. As for the staff - they were very professional, but with me being young and not the typical guest of the hotel the staff were more like peers that I became very close with. The location is a little off from the heart of all the tourist attractions but I found that to be the best part of the hotel - its located in a very wealthy residential area with many embassys nearby - apartments starting at 2 million. It was very clean and quiet....On the days I didn't feel like walking - I requested an uber car. The only complaint that I have is that breakfast isn't included but it should be free because there is simply nothing to it. Its very basic and I would recommend skipping it and go somewhere nearby.
I booked this hotel due to its proximity to the place I was visiting in Paris. The room was tiny but clean. I stayed for a week but the hot water did not work for the whole period. I did mention this to the hotel staff and they asked a technician to come and fix it but it did not work well even after that.
We found the location very convenient to the subway system and only a short distance from the major tourist sites
Room was smoky, despite hotel policy of non-smoking. Moved to new room on second day. No other rooms available on first night. Staff was helpful
