Stayed as a family at the Hotel Le Sainte Gregoire for three days leading up to New Years Day. We had three rooms for our party of six. All rooms were nicely appointed with antiques and are comfortable. The bathroom is adequate in size and the toiletries are of good quality. The only issue we had among our party was the lighting in the bathroom was slightly dim. Breakfast is served on floor -1 and is basic but still nice. The hotel as kind enough to order gluten free bread and pastries for several in our party that had dietary needs. The front desk service is exceptional and friendly. The neighborhood around the hotel is convenient to the Metro, to shopping, and dining. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel anyone.
This is a small, friendly hotel on a quiet street very close to the Saint Placide and other metro stops. It's a terrific location for access to all of Paris, and for eating and shopping in the surrounding neighborhoods. Rooms are very clean, very comfortable and have character. The stone-clad breakfast room is lovely, and service throughout the hotel was impeccable. Highly recommended!
This is a wonderful little hotel in a good spot in Paris that we use every time we visit and as always, it doesn't lets us down. Don't expect cutting edge modernity but if you want a hotel to be like the comfortable home of a favourite aunt then this is it!
Really glad I picked this hotel for a quick one night solo trip to Paris. Its got loads of character and the staff are very friendly and helpful - I found it also surprisingly quiet for being in such a busy area. Bed was excellent. Breakfast was lovely with superb coffee and pastries in a characterful little room. Highly recommended and I plan to return as a couple when I can!
We booked on line via TripAdvisor and after looking through hundreds of Hotels large and small ,finally tongue in cheek , we decided on Le Saint Gregoire. One of the best decisions we have made for a while , whilst travelling on our hols through Europe. The hotel was all we hoped it to be , only 10 rooms , antique style furniture, not too big , but not too small and most of all clean. Bathroom had all what was required for a couple All staff wonderful and could not have been more helpful for any request, whether or not for our needs at the hotel , or info and directions for sightseeing etc. The hotel is close to public transport , shops and good cafe's and restaurants Our only complaint would be Street noise , despite being 3 floors up , however , one cannot expect total silence in a wonderful city with tiny narrow streets and beautiful old buildings. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who loves the home B & B style of accommodation
This was a nice hotel. The staff was always friendly. It's not a very big hotel, but it is quaint. We received this hotel through Hotwire which was what we were hoping for. There are a pair of metro stations within short walking distance and we were able to use them to get to nearly everywhere in the city. The neighborhood feels a little upper class. It's clean and safe. We walked to Luxembourg Gardens our first day there and had lunch in the park. Definitely worth a visit. There is a quick take out place for crepes and sandwiches nearby and also a bread shop with some tasty pastries for breakfasts. We also walked to the Louvre from here and all over Paris, but I would suggest taking the Metro and saving some steps. The Metro is cheap and easy to use and Paris has plenty of places to tire your feet. For Dinner in Paris, we went to Opera house area a couple of times, which I think would also be an okay area to stay. Paris is great, enjoy.
Great location, great reception, great value, large comfortable rooms. 5 minutes by taxi from la gare Montparnasse, 5 minutes walk from the rue cherche midi. We highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely stay here again.
The hotel is in very good location the staff in the reception are very helpful The breakfast staff are not nice at all we were 4 and every day they brought us food and drinks for 3 after they serve you the first time they don't come back to see if you need anything and you need to go to the kitchen to find them and after asking you get a very unpleasant face the first room we got was with strong smell of cigarettes and after one night they change a room with no problem All together nice hotel with excellent staff in the reception but the staff from the breakfast made the experience not so good
Clean, faded elegance, was in need of some refurbishment in the room. You could feel the springs in the mattress. There was no kettle to make a cup of tea (we brought our own). The air-conditioner did not work properly – it needed replacement freon gas! The external temperature was 37°C and it was difficult to reduce the room temperature to a comfortable level. Furthermore there was no minibar, nor a refrigerator in the room which one would expect from any hotel nowadays. The one receptionist had to disappear down the back of the hotel to get some ice for us in an ice bucket. There was no accessible icemaker. Reception was small but nice and well furnished. The hotel staff were charming with the exception of the lady who runs the breakfast room ,whose frosty stare and comments were unnecessary. Certainly a session in Charm School would be recommended. They could do a plain omelette but refused to put ham and cheese in the omelette, even though these items were available for breakfast. We would not return to this hotel.
My friends and I loved our experience here. This place is very clean, has nice beddings, air conditioning, and our room had a bathtub. The staff is both professional and friendly. The Manager accommodated us when we decided to stay an extra night, by adding beds in our room (since the hotel was fully booked) so we didn't have to spend our last day in Paris transferring hotels... The breakfast is abundant, served in a cutely decorated room with a soft background music, and the service is top notch. Will return!
