Hôtel Le Saint-Grégoire4.0 out of 5.0

We booked on line via TripAdvisor and after looking through hundreds of Hotels large and small ,finally tongue in cheek , we decided on Le Saint Gregoire. One of the best decisions we have made for a while , whilst travelling on our hols through Europe. The hotel was all we hoped it to be , only 10 rooms , antique style furniture, not too big , but not too small and most of all clean. Bathroom had all what was required for a couple All staff wonderful and could not have been more helpful for any request, whether or not for our needs at the hotel , or info and directions for sightseeing etc. The hotel is close to public transport , shops and good cafe's and restaurants Our only complaint would be Street noise , despite being 3 floors up , however , one cannot expect total silence in a wonderful city with tiny narrow streets and beautiful old buildings. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who loves the home B & B style of accommodation
This was a nice hotel. The staff was always friendly. It's not a very big hotel, but it is quaint. We received this hotel through Hotwire which was what we were hoping for. There are a pair of metro stations within short walking distance and we were able to use them to get to nearly everywhere in the city. The neighborhood feels a little upper class. It's clean and safe. We walked to Luxembourg Gardens our first day there and had lunch in the park. Definitely worth a visit. There is a quick take out place for crepes and sandwiches nearby and also a bread shop with some tasty pastries for breakfasts. We also walked to the Louvre from here and all over Paris, but I would suggest taking the Metro and saving some steps. The Metro is cheap and easy to use and Paris has plenty of places to tire your feet. For Dinner in Paris, we went to Opera house area a couple of times, which I think would also be an okay area to stay. Paris is great, enjoy.
Great location, great reception, great value, large comfortable rooms. 5 minutes by taxi from la gare Montparnasse, 5 minutes walk from the rue cherche midi. We highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely stay here again.
The hotel is in very good location the staff in the reception are very helpful The breakfast staff are not nice at all we were 4 and every day they brought us food and drinks for 3 after they serve you the first time they don't come back to see if you need anything and you need to go to the kitchen to find them and after asking you get a very unpleasant face the first room we got was with strong smell of cigarettes and after one night they change a room with no problem All together nice hotel with excellent staff in the reception but the staff from the breakfast made the experience not so good
Clean, faded elegance, was in need of some refurbishment in the room. You could feel the springs in the mattress. There was no kettle to make a cup of tea (we brought our own). The air-conditioner did not work properly – it needed replacement freon gas! The external temperature was 37°C and it was difficult to reduce the room temperature to a comfortable level. Furthermore there was no minibar, nor a refrigerator in the room which one would expect from any hotel nowadays. The one receptionist had to disappear down the back of the hotel to get some ice for us in an ice bucket. There was no accessible icemaker. Reception was small but nice and well furnished. The hotel staff were charming with the exception of the lady who runs the breakfast room ,whose frosty stare and comments were unnecessary. Certainly a session in Charm School would be recommended. They could do a plain omelette but refused to put ham and cheese in the omelette, even though these items were available for breakfast. We would not return to this hotel.
My friends and I loved our experience here. This place is very clean, has nice beddings, air conditioning, and our room had a bathtub. The staff is both professional and friendly. The Manager accommodated us when we decided to stay an extra night, by adding beds in our room (since the hotel was fully booked) so we didn't have to spend our last day in Paris transferring hotels... The breakfast is abundant, served in a cutely decorated room with a soft background music, and the service is top notch. Will return!
We were here as a couple. Very romantic. Rooms were small but clean. Staff was incredibly helpful. Make sure you have breakfast in the catacombs.Location location location Perfect for walking the Rive Gauche. As Bogart said, we will always have Paris and the St Gregorie is a great part of that memory.
This was a hotel for me. I travel a lot, so I prefer avoiding big chains, I´ve seen them enough. This one has super friendly service and rooms have character. They are also surprisingly spacious for Paris. Old furniture, cosy atmosphere. Not to mention the location, it´s absolutely fantastic. I´m giving five stars, because the price is excellent for the quality and the friendly atmosphere made me feel like home. Plus the location plus the spacious rooms. If you´re looking for Ritz-type of glamour, the perhaps this is not your idea of five star hotel, but I really enjoyed my stay.
Quiet comfortable, well airconditioned rooms and nice staff. The beds and bedding have lovely crisp cottons and the size is ample. The hotel has a very nice atmosphere and very comfy if small public area. It is a shortish walk from most Paris sights and definitely a hotel I would return to.
Just completed a wonderful 3 day stay here. A good choice for you if: (1) You appreciate charming spaces with character. Decorated with flea market finds, vintage pieces. (2) Friendly and attentive service (3) want to be in central location that is quiet and has a neighborhood feel. Not a good fit if you prefer all new decor, want high end luxury or require a lot of space. Thank you Veronique and Lucy for a memorable stay. I hope to return.
