We stayed in this hotel after my husband found it on the web and checked the reviews. It was a lovely hotel in a nice , family area and the tube (convention)was 5mins walk away and easily accessible to all attractions. The room wasn’t particularly big but was more than adequate for our requirements and the bathroom was lovely - very big shower! I would recommend staying here as the price was reasonable too. Can’t comment on the breakfast as we ate out every day as there were some lovely little bakeries nearby. We also enjoyed the market that was there on a Sunday morning and sold some amazing food.
We stayed here overnight whilst en-route to Bordeaux. The hotel is in a nice area, with easy access to public transport. Rooms are typically Parisian (i.e. small!) but there is enough space to move around and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was quite small, but the shower was great. Staff friendly upon check-in and departure. The owl theme is tastefully done, not over the top! I would definitely consider staying at this property again.
Near the metro and buses. Great decor and very quiet. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful. There is a market right across the street and lots of food choices. There is a great Indian food restaurant nearby that has the best nan I have ever tasted.
i came here in 2016 with my Mum on a last minute decision and we loved it! the area is great and has its own bit of action on the edge of the city-a market on the street twice a week plus lots of lovely little shops and restaurants. its about a 45 min walk to le Tour d'Eiffel and this would be a super quick jourbey on the Metro but as we went in July, its was great strolling through the streets and getting a bit of sun, soaking up the atmosphere!. it was so great I booked us to come back to Chouette with my 13 yr old niece this year who has never been to Paris before-she also loved it! we had a lovely room with large bathroom with walk in shower/wet room area. To be honest we were out most of the time so we didnt opt for the breakfast option this time. I can vouch for it though. if you fancy a bit of a change from French food after a few days, try the Thai opposide on the corner-great food and service!
Very comfortable small boutique hotel in a great location. The hotel is walking distance from Convention metro and is surrounded by restaurant, bars and shop. On Tuesday and Thursday you can enjoy the street market just outside the hotel. The rooms even if a little bit small for a long staying are very clean and cosy. Breakfast is great, don’t miss it. There’s a good choice of pastries and coffee. The staff is very nice and polite. Would definitely stay again.
Excellent hotel. Small boutique hotel in a great location. Friendly helpful staff - in particular the young woman on reception who went out of her way to enable us to check in early. Hotel is situated in a great neighbourhood - lots of cafes, brasseries and bars. Street markets on Tuesday and Thursday. Close to a Metro, allowing easy access to the rest of Paris. Room is of an excellent standard. Wifi worked really well. Will definitely stay again.
Lovely clean hotel with the worlds comfiest beds! We didn’t try breakfast as there are plenty of cafes around. The room was spacious for Paris, and the price was reasonable. Ocitain bath products bath and shower
Hotel within a period building situated a short walk from Convention metro, surrounded by restaurants, bars, patisseries and shops. Rooms are small, but well thought out and clean. Furnishings are contemporary and beds fairly comfortable. If you’re a couple staying for an extended period though, a standard double room would probably be too small. Not much room in bathroom to put your things and it’s not possible to put on makeup at bathroom mirror, as the lighting is poor. Be aware that the walls are very thin, so you have to hope that your neighbours are considerate. Lot of street noise also. That said, hotel is conveniently situated and good for short business stay.
This is a fairly good hotel in a fairly busy area of Paris. It has basic amenities with no fridge or coffee maker in the guest room. Breakfast is basic but nice. The street where the hotel is located has very nice cafes and there is a nearby subway station.
One of the reasons we booked this hotel for our recent trip to Paris was because of the TripAdvisor views. Upon arriving at the hotel I wondered if we all stayed in the same hotel because our experience was very different then most of the reviews! First of all this is not a hotel for families! The walls are very very thin and we felt like we very constantly having to whisper as to not interrupt the other guest. One night one the guest was outside our door making lots of noise and it was very disruptive as it was late at night. The breakfast selection was terrible and very crowded when we would come down for breakfast. The staff was hit or miss. Sometimes very nice and helpful other times it was like we were bothering them. The rooms were probably the worst part for us. You should know if you book this hotel that you are NOT in control of your air conditioning unit. The staff can control it from a main control panel behind the counter. Twice we came back to our room and it was 33 degrees Celsius about 91 degrees Fahrenheit! When we called down and asked why the air was off and not working they would reply they have to go turn it on. When I pay for a hotel I expect that I get to control my own air conditioner because I am paying for the room. Most nights it was so uncomfortably hot that we couldn't sleep. We did talk to the manager who got the air turned back on after several days of dealing with this nonsense. Another reason we couldn't sleep was because the beds were like sleeping on a bed of rocks. The mattress was so hard and uncomfortable. We were each given one paper thin pillow and when we asked for more the staff acted like we were inconveniencing them. It took several hours to get two additional pillows. On our last of our stay I had dropped something on the floor near the curtains that were covering the windows. When my husband went to pick it up and pulled back the curtains the wall was a complete mess and had water stains like there was or had been and leak. The wall was also covered in black mold!!!! We were completely disgusted! My husband immediately went down to the front desk to complain and asked for a different room. The front desk staff explained that they were fully booked and there was nothing they could do!! Unfortunately it was well after 9 o'clock and the hopes of finding another quad room in Paris for the night were very slim. Against our better judgment we had no choice but to stay. It was an absolutely terrible situation for us. We were told that the manager would contact us the next day and of course we haven't been contacted at all. The hotel has the potential to be a good hotel if you get completely new staff and develop policies that are actually geared towards good customer service. And then completely gut the hotel, get rid of the black mold and get better beds it would be good. The location of the hotel was great and the shower was nice but unless you want to inhale black mold and be treated like a substandard human I STRONGLY suggest you book another hotel!
