Albe Hôtel Saint-Michel

Hotel Albe is a great place to stay, the rooms are smaller (this is after all Paris) but everything is modernized . The elevator is small but managed to get us up to our great little room with wonderful linens overlooking the street and a slice of the Seine. Our flight was delayed by 4 hours on United, so we were exhausted but Hotel Albe was wonderful - it was close to the Sorbonne and on a wonderful set of streets with many creperies and restaurants and shops. The Metro is steps away - one cannot get lost. The staff was considerate and our luggage was locked and stored securely as it was only one night (wish we could have stayed more but the flight delays made us have to hop off to Valencia sooner). We will definitely stay again

The location cannot be beat for someone coming in from CDG and wanting to explore all of Paris, but especially Saints-Germaine. Our only draw-back was that it was between heating and cooling seasons so we had to have the windows open--then deal with the parties until 3-4 in the morning. Thankfully the amount of walking during the day causes one to pass out!

Superb location - 1 min from metro & 2 lines of RER, 5 min from Notre Dame de Paris. Hundreds of nice eateries around. Any noise in a room from outside even in Friday and Saturday nights.

The staff was helpful. The room was big enough and the bathroom was spotless, which is important to me. I didn't have a view, but one only needs to walk outside to see the city. It is in the best location - not even a 5 minute walk to Notre Dame Cathedral. Tons of restaurants right outside the door.

The best location you can imagine. We had a room on 4 floor with a balcony, right above "Albe" in front of the hotel. The neighborhood is quite lively and noisy until midnight, but soundproof is very effective. With closed windows you can barely hear yelling tourists outside. The AC is also very quiet. The room is small for American standards, but decent for Paris, and I've seen smaller in NYC Manhatten. There are plenty restaurants withing 100 m around: french, italian, greek. Notre Damme is literally 200 m from the place, Saint Chapelle 100 m, Louvre 500 m. In the room there is a small fridge and a safebox.

The Albe Hotel is within a few minutes walking distance from Notre Dame cathedral just across from the Seine river. It's surrounded by walk-up style eateries of crapes and gyros and other traditional bistros in the San Michel area with a small grocery market almost directly across the small street. One of the best things is the San Michel Notre Dame train station on the main boulevard around the corner which is a crossing station for trains that run all the way to Versailles passing the Eiffel tower on way then another running all the way to the airport and to the Gar du Nord where we got off the bullet train from London. This hotel is in the best location possible for the do it yourself tourist. Accommodations and the breakfast there are outstanding and just a seamless thing that will be the least of concerns. Hardest decision will be to get out of the comfortable room early in the morning to continue the tours. The hot receptionist there allowed us to check in as soon as our room was clean at noon and kept our luggage before and after check out while we continued out tours. I highly recommend this hotel for many reasons mostly location.

This hotel is awesome. The location is great, around the corner from the metro, wonderful bakery downstairs, great view from our room, close to Notre Dame, and easy walking distance to tons of restaurants. The room was cozy but laid out well. The bathroom was very nice with a good size shower. The best of all is the staff. They went out of their way to help us even after we had checked out. When we told the woman at the desk during checkout we were going on a bicycle tour that day she asked if we would like the hotel to store our luggage while we rode. When we returned to collect the luggage they called a taxi for us. Because there was road construction a block away from the hotel the gentleman at the desk went out to the end of the street to wait for our cab. It turned out the cab had to park three blocks away from the hotel because of traffic. This same gentleman walked us to the cab to make sure we found it instead of just giving directions. We were so grateful. This hotel and staff are wonderful representatives for Paris. I can't say enough about the fabulous service. Please stay here. You won't regret it. Thank you Hotel Albe!

We had a great time at Alba Hotel. I'll be back as soon as I can.

I had a very pleasant stay at your hotel and look forward to staying with you in the future! Thank you for helping to make my experience a good one.

The hotel was in a great location, close to many sites and an active night life with venders and restaurants. It was very close to the RER, metro, Notre Dam, Seine, etc. The room was smaller and not as maintained as expected. It was noisy at night so ear plugs helped. The bed was comfortable. The staff weren't as friendly as I was hoping either. But helpful to arrange for a really nice dinner.

The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean, had what we needed and was in a great central location. It was walking distance to restaurants, groceries and local tourist sites. We would stay here again.

Location is right in the middle of everything. Train station exit Saint Michel is less than a block. Notre Dame is just across the bridge - a very short walk. Although room overlooked s street full of restaurants and bars, the room was quit. The room and bathroom were on the small side but had everything I needed. Very clean, and front desk person was pleasant.

Great help from staff when we were pick-pocketed elsewhere in Paris.

This is the second time I stayed at the Albe, the fist time by "accident" this time I chose it. It is just very convenient, 1/2 min from the Metro 4 and the RER B (take the elevator down to the RER to avoid the many steps and escalators, ask for it at the desk, or you will not find it.) 2min to Notre Dame. The Breakfast was very good, I liked how you can boil (time) your own eggs. The internet was fast and free.

Loved the location- close to restaurants and subway!

The Latin Quarter is my favorite place to stay. This hotel is just off the Seine on a pedestrian road (our room had a bit of a view). It is very touristy, but I was a tourist and it was easy enough to find hidden gems in this arrondissement. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, always willing and able to answer any questions.

Stayed on a Thursday night. EAsy to get to... I was on a Business trip..and this was my "FUN time" in Paris. Great location, fun to walk around and see street performers, eating out side, see the Notre Dame cathedral change in the sunlight across eating dinner. Close to METRO LOTS of CAFES with reasonable meals. Staff spoke French Spanish and English. VERY HELPFUL GOOD break fast at the hotel. Enjoyed REALLY good granola cereal, dates dried apricots..and typical French Break fast. VALUE: GOOD value for the price I paid ON LINE, 1 5 0 euro per nite

When I first checked in and requested a quiet room I was told by the man at the desk "This is not a quiet hotel and if you want quiet, you are in the wrong hotel." No words could be truer. It is situated in a chaotic area of touristy bars, street artists and performers, eateries, and trashy souvenir stores. This is not left bank France but chaos. The windows do not reduce the noise enough to sleep. When it subsides at 4 AM it is replaced by a parade of garbage trucks and deliveries. I used ear plugs and a white noise app on my cell phone and still did not sleep. Surprisingly the rooms are clean and attractive, the staff is friendly and the hotel is well-located for public transit and site seeing. BUT the noise cancels all. Do not stay here if you need even slight quiet to sleep.

Nice hotel, helpful staff, convenient location in Latin qtr near metro, Notre Dame, St Michael fountain, Seine, Shakespeare & Co. Walk to Luxembourg gardens. Our 3 person room had a little balcony and we could see a corner of the Seine. I would definitely stay here again.

This was our first time in Paris and we stayed at ALBE hotel. The rooms are small but they are small everwhere in Paris. We booked the room that has 3 beds (there were 3 of us) and it was perfect. Location is absolutely amazing! Staff were incredibly nice. We kept asking front desk every morning on how to take the metro and they were so nice and eager to answer us. LOVE THEM SO MUCH! I would stay here again!
