I stayed at this hotel 3 years and was happy to recommend. Due to the price it wasnt my first choice as the only room available was a superior room and it was slightly outside my budget but, as i was on my own this time and familiar with the area i chose it again. Unfortunately the room i got was not "superior" in my opinion. The first thing i noticed was the smell upon entering the room, i wasnt sure if it was fresh paint or something from the drains. The bathroom was tiny, i had to keep the door open to allow me exit the shower without hitting off everything. The bedroom itself was oddly shaped and it was difficult to lay down and unpack my case. Very odd floor covering. No complimentary water and on my first morning i put a do not disturb sign on the door as i didn't want housekeeping, i left personal items in the room on the bed and when i came back i found that the room had been cleaned and my stuff moved. On the second morning, i specifically requested no housekeeping to one of the cleaning personnel in the room next door, and just asked for fresh towels which were handed to me. I left the do not disturb sign on the door but arrived back that night to find that yet again, the room had been cleaned.
Positves were that the bed was comfortable, its not too far a walk to major attractions, the area is safe and the breakfast was decent. Its not the worst hotel by any means but way overpriced.
