The Riverside Inn

We used Riverside Inn as a base for our trips around Boquete in a 3 days stay. The hotel is situated on the main road aprox. 2 km pass Boquete. We once took a taxi to go back to Boquete`s center but all the other times we just walked back and forth - took us 20 minutes, eventually carry a light at night. This hotel is like a larger house and has a lot of charm and a welcoming feeling. The garden is simple but nicely designed with tropical flowers. Our room was decorated with colonial style furniture and had a big modern bathroom fully equipped with all necessary toiletries. AC is available in the room so as is a TV. We were facing the street but there was no issue with the noise except when it rained and the cars passing by seemed a bit louder – still you might prefer a room on the backside – count there is a river there (you might also have extra privacy on the backside). The common areas have on one side a fire place and a seating area and on the other a sunroom with tables and a self-service/honor bar. What someone might find inconvenient is that they don’t have a reception service overnight but in principle if needed they are reachable by phone. There is also a PC in the lobby you can use for emails while for printing a boarding pass for example we had to work that out through the reception. For breakfast we always went very early due to our planned trips and preferred to stay outside even if it was not so warm just because the morning air is so nice there and you can hear and see various birds. One morning we`ve seen even a coati passing by. The breakfast was a fixed menu and to be fair was not bad but not exceptional either. Personally, I would have preferred more fruit to choose over other items like yogurt. Overall if this hotel would be closer or into the forest it will be just a perfect set up but we liked as it is too and we would definitely like to return here.

We stayed two nights here and it was lovely. Our room was very large, including the bathroom. The room had a king size bed, a wardrobe closet, television, small table with two chairs, a huge shower, soaking tub for two, and dual sinks. We also had a private deck off our room with a small table with two chairs. It was by far the quietest place we stayed while in Panama. The river does run just behind the hotel (it is, in fact, a RIVERSIDE inn) which makes relaxing babbling brook sounds. The grounds are well maintained with trees and flowers, and birds stop by in the nearby trees. The hotel is about 1 mile from Boquete downtown. A taxi is about $3 one-way and the staff is happy to call a taxi for you. It is possible to walk it (which we did once) but the traffic does drive quite fast down the road and many don't move over to give you room. There's very little shoulder so I would suggest just taking a taxi back and forth from downtown. The only thing about our stay that I didn't like was that there are not privacy curtains on the window in the bathroom. The curtains are translucent which always made me a little uncomfortable after dark since I figured if the lights were on inside and dark outside someone might see me. The chances of someone being out back behind the hotel is unlikely as there is nothing back there for someone to be doing after dark, but I just felt a little exposed. Otherwise, I have absolutely no criticisms of this lovely place.

This is a small, very nice hotel just outside the town of Boquete. I stayed here 2 nights with my family of 4 in the Loft suite. This is perfect, as there is an upstairs with 2 twin beds and a queen downstairs. The hotel is very cozy, there is a fireplace in the common area and a honor bar at night where you can make tea, coffee, and alcoholic drinks. Its very comfortable and clean. There are a few major hiccups though. The first being, and this is important... There is only one manager, and although we had good communication by email, she never seemed to be around. This is a problem, because the hotel is a bit of a walk into town, about a half hour. It rains and its chilly in the mountains. If you don't have a car, there is no way to get a taxi. Take this advice, get the name of a taxi driver. Then you can text him when you need a ride. Thankfully, we did this, or we would miss our tours and our transportation. Also, the breakfast is next door at the Rock. The food is adequate enough for breakfast, bread and yogurt and fruit. Our problem is that is opens at 7 am. We were there at 7, it wasn't open and by 730 we still weren't fed, which is a problem. We had to leave without eating a proper breakfast. Next time, I would opt to stay closer into town.

The Riverside Inn is a very nice Hotel with good services, multiflexible Servicepeople, a mega nice green area. The Parkingsituation is very easy. In connect with the wonderful Restaurant "The Rock" in side of the Hotel you get what you need. absolutly.

So much to love about this thoughtful, European-inspired well-loved spot just out of town. Large, comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, and great public spaces, including a free computer, fireplace, comfy couches, and a glassed-in salon with TV, honor bar, and a view of the backyard sloping down to the river. Deisy at reception is so sweet and helpful. Included breakfast next door at The Rock is tasty and filling – during our stay, it was cheese, bread, meet, coffee, juice and homemade yogurt all available on a patio overlooking the river. A bit of a walk from downtown - 1.8km / 20 minute walk / $3 taxi ride – the relative isolation allows one to fall asleep listening to birds and the flow of the river.

Best place we stayed in Panama. Very small hotel with high standards for a very low price. You should also eat in the nearby restaurant which is very good. If it had a small pool it would be seven stars

The only thing I regret about my stay is that I had two nights in Boquete and in the Riverside Inn. I booked the junior suite and it was very spacious and pretty well equipped. The continental breakfast at the small restaurant by the river was included. Overall the hotel offered a good value for money I paid. But what is most important I felt in love with this charming little place. It is so sweet and tranquil that I want to come back soonest

The Riverside inn is a beautiful small Hotel, lovely decorated and very clean. It is located 3km out of town, it's a 25 minutes walk through a beautiful landscape. Our room had a beautiful view and the bed is very very comfi. The staff is sweet as can be. Thank you

I fell in love with The Riverside Inn in Boquete. It is a small country inn but is so lovely and quaint. Upon entering, a warm, cozy fire greets you in the living room. There is a beautiful sun room with a bar and comfortable sitting area. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. The beds are super comfortable and breakfast is included. The Riverside has so many little details that make it a little slice of heaven in paradise.

The Riverside pays great attention to detail. We had the master suite which had a Jacuzzi tub for two and a rain forest shower. The air conditioning was perfect and the house was an architectural gem. The surrounding us look like the garden of Eden. The staff was friendly, helpful and thorough. The restaurant next-door, the rock, was a gastronomical delight.
