The house was well furnished, with lots of room. All appliances were modern and in working order. The house is a short walk to the beach. The gated community has other amenities - 2 pools, tennis/pickleball courts and is pet friendly. Within a short walk or short drive are two great little restaurants: Cone Heads and Long Bill's. There is also St. Joseph Peninsula Campground, which has a small hiking trail with access to the bay side of the cape.

Cute cottage on the Cape

The cottage is very spacious and clean. We loved all the outdoor space and fountain in the lake behind the house. Very easy walk to the beach access. We loved how close we were to the state park. We had great weather our entire stay!
Capri loved her wagon ride to the beach!

Wonderful place on Cape San Blas

Great location just at the entrance of the state park area. Very comfortable and clean home. Lots of room to relax both inside and out. Would love to come back.

Cozy family getaway

This was our second year staying here. It is cozy, well decorated, and a perfect size for a dec my size family. We had some stress due to planning a wedding at the beach during a hurricane but the house was perfect.

Great Place for Family Vacation!

We LOVE this beach cottage, all the comforts of home, love the decorator touches, wonderful family & pet friendly neighborhood. Super close to state park where the beach is not crowded at all. Neighborhood beach is great too! Enjoyed walking to the beach for sunset! Would definitely book this vacation spot again!

Great Escape

We had a wonderful stay! Stefanie was the best host. She was super responsive. We loved the house, especially, the screened porches! The house was clean upon arrival. We were about a 5 min walk to the beach. There was a cart to make it easy to pack everything and take in one load. The highlight of our trip, was making a beach campfire. I highly recommend this house and host. We are already planning next year's trip!

Beautiful, well maintained property with all the comforts of home!

I had a wonderful weekend with my family. We enjoyed cooking meals & relaxing on the screened iporch. There was space enough for everyone. Each day, we walked to the beach only a short distance away. The community is very nice and dog friendly. I love the location.

Paradise at the Beach

We had a fabulous time at this beach house. We had 6 adults, 1 9 year old and a dog and there was plenty of space for everyone, especially since there are 3 bathrooms. The porches are perfect, the location is perfect, every dish/pan we needed was available and the manager was outstanding. Short walk to the beach, across the street from the playground I highly recommend this location for families. We will gladly stay here again and again.

Convenient beach access and very pet friendly

The house is conveniently located to the beach and has pool access as well. There was plenty of green space to walk the dog. Wonderful stay with a fully functioning kitchen to cook up the fish you catch. We used Southern Tide for our boat charter and picked up very fresh veggies from the local convenience store to use as sides, and some Cajun shrimp dip from St. Joe Company. We truly enjoyed our stay and would book again.

Impeccably clean

We booked a last minute getaway and loved this place like our own. The cottage had everything we needed and then some. We really appreciated how clean the cottage was, and all the outdoor screened in space. We will rebook this again if we get back to CSB!!

Great stay!

Plenty of space for a family of 6 adults plus dogs. It was a great location with a short walk to the beach and pool without being right in the middle of everything. Loved the porch space, clean, well-stocked, good AC. Our only issue was with slow WiFi at times. A couple of the people in our group had to do some remote work and online meetings, and the WiFi was sometimes unreliable for that. Besides that, we had a great week and would stay again!

Beautiful house, quiet location very close to park, bay and gulf

We are a family of four with 2 children 12 and 9. We had an amazing time in Florida during Spring Break, grandly thanks to the house. It is beautiful, very comfortable and clean, with much attention to details. Very nice decoration, TV in each room, all you need in the kitchen. Also, we made a last minute decision to come here, and Stefanie the manager was very accomodating. Thank you guys!

Great week

We thoroughly enjoyed our week. House is well equipped. A bit small for 6 adults but we knew that going in. Stephanie, the property manager was fantastic to work with. She represents this property very well. We leave today relaxed, tanned and with great new memories. What else can you ask from a vacation. Thank you!

Stated at Golden Retreat twice in a month!

This house was so special that we chose to stay at this property twice. We returned the second time with our “furbaby”! The home is beautiful, as depicted in photos. Home well stocked for humans and pets! Is in gated community, safe and many snowbirds enjoying the neighborhood. The beach is an easy short walk. Small Businesses close by for last minute needs. We took day trips to St. Joe and Apalachicola. Beautiful, comfortable home in delightful area. We will be back!

Wonderful gem!

This was our third vacation to cape San blas, but our first time staying in barrier dunes, but it won’t be our last! This house is so nicely equipped, the kitchen has everything you need, even an air fryer! The dog bowls and towels for the dog were much appreciated! The beds were comfortable, the views from the screened in porches overlooking the pond was so peaceful, and I loved sitting on the front porch swing watching my kids play on the awesome playground across the street. The property manager Stephanie was so helpful when we had an issue with our 3 yr old and thought we might have to make an ER visit (thankfully crisis averted). We were here for spring break, and I do have to say the beach at barrier dunes might be busiest on the cape, but there was still plenty of room to spread out and honestly my kids found other children their on age on the beach and at the pools it was really nice! We loved the turtle pond, and how dog friendly the community is, it was really special to be able to bring our elderly dog with us, he loved the beach and I don’t know how many more trips he will make, but this one was a special one! Thank you so much! We will be back for sure!

Wish we would have known…

Don’t get me wrong, we had a very nice time! And Stephanie was great and on top of things (a/c was acting up and she came over immediately to check it out and had someone come fix it). However, I felt like we should have known that the hand soap was going to be watered down (had I know , I would have taken our own!) there was not any dish soap or dishwasher soap or laundry detergent. However, we’re asked to wash the dishes, start the dishwasher and start a load of towels upon leaving. So, my question was: how did the guest before us wash dishes or towels without soap?😬. My thought is they didn’t use soap. So, upon arriving, and realizing there wasn’t any soap, we had to get back in the car and go get these things. We knew about the toilet tissue, paper towels and trash bags (and planned accordingly). If these things are too expensive for the owner to provide, I think charging $10 more per visit would be better than having to wonder if the guests before us used soap and have to leave immediately upon arrival to get these things. I understand these items may have just been forgotten about upon restocking for us, but it does have us thinking about whether this was the best option for our vacation.
