I booked this condo for a short Fall Break getaway for my family of 7. The condo listing boasts a wrap around balcony as the main selling point of this listing. I chose this condo as it looked updated, had room for my family, and was beach front with a beautiful view.
When we came into the condo, I noticed all of the balcony furniture was INSIDE the condo taking up the vast majority of the living room. I thought that was odd but wondered if it had been moved in due to the storm we were currently having. Upon further review of the condo, I noticed there was a wooden stick blocking access to the balcony. Weird….
My kids went down to check out the facilities and came back upstairs to inform me that the POOL AND HOT TUB WERE CLOSED.
I did my own research and found another listing on VRBO for another condo at Palazzo managed by another a different company. Guess what….the entire building was being painted which means POOL AND HOT TUB ARE CLOSED AND YOU CANNOT ACCESS YOUR BALCONY!!!!! This was NOT reflected on the listing I booked!!!
I immediately contacted RealJoy to find out what was going on. I will say the women I spoke to via phone and text were very courteous and apologetic. They offered me a 20% discount and a gift basket. HA! No thanks. They told me they would make it right once I checked out (yes I have pics and everything documented). Guess what, radio silence since we checked out. I will be pursuing action against this company. Thanks for ruining our trip!!!!!!!!
