It's not new but it is relaxing..it is what it is

The hotel is really dated and noisy. It's not convenient.

Key didn’t work on the door. Shower was terrible because it was really hard to pull the knob to just turn it on and temp fluxuations from hot to cold were intense.

On the positive side, after a sleepless night and several complaints to management we were offered a room at the "sister hotel" next door and had a wonderful experience at the new location!

The hotel is old, but the quality of service is improving. The rooms are clean, new floors, the restaurant area has been renovated. In general it was much better and cleaner than 2 years ago during my previous stay at this hotel.

Room dirty. No phone. Furniture piled outside door and on grounds. Hot springs pools littered with trash in pathways. Local residents also had cheap access to pools. We chose not to stay after checking in to the room and observing conditions. Unsafe.

Book my room online got the itinerary number drove 100 miles to check in and I was told my room was not available they were already booked

I stayed there during a remodeling of my apartment for seven days. I have a small dog and did not know how she would react if I left her alone, so I took her everywhere. This was a good thing for me. However, because of this and my not wanting to be around too many people, I decided not to use the pools, etc. I thought I could enjoy the mineral water by taking hot baths in my room, however the plug did not work. On day one I informed the staff that I like take baths and would like the plug to be fixed. I said that I prefer baths, and they did sent a young man to look at the tub and he told me that the latch (?) was not connected to the plug. Duh, I knew that and he left and never came back. Every day I kept asking for the plug to be fixed with no resolve. I finally figured out the drain cover could be removed. I used a wash rag to plug up the tub and got to 2 baths. Next time I will just stay at Hotel 6. The restaurant staff was great & food pretty good. Very disappointing!!!!

I found the Desert Spring Hotel to be a disappointment. I arrived late the first night to find a party going on, on a Wednesday. The hot tubs are not hot, they are warm at best. I confirmed with other folks, those tubs are never hot. Several warm pools, filled with people being quite noisy, every night. It is a social atmosphere, but it was a mix of families with kids, young adults, all being noisy. The pools did not look overly clean, it was a little disturbing given the number of people that came and went. The price was right, that was why I selected the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If the owner remodeled added some sound proofing and updated the rooms they could have a nice facility.

pretty terrible. guests were smoking in the pool area. guests smoked in our non-smoking room prior to our stay outside patio was left with cigarette ashes, cigarette butts and chips all over.

Felt like a cheap motel. Tub dirty pool as well. Need remodeling.

The personal was very n ice and always ready to help, I left a day early because I could not sleep in my room, at night there was a dog that was barking and kids screaming and baby crying so I stayed at a friend house for my last night in order to sleep

on the Weekend we did not get enough towels and there was a lot of noise from outside visitors. the noise carried on into the night and disturbed our sleep.

Well, Hotel food and drink excellent staff at counter nice, room was not really neat and clean.

nothing like the pictures....... needs to be up dated..

The restaurant had slow service but staff was nice. The rooms were ok, tv was old style and had bad picture and sound. The pool and spa's are the only area that is well kept. Would not stay there again.

The water is fantastic and the staff was very helpful especially Nadine. We had a mix up on a sold out weekend but they put forth a lot of effort to accomadate us. Go see the Cabit museum a few miles away.

Not the best room we had stayed. But the hot spring pools are fantastic and it is great for families with kids.

Hotel is in desperate need of renovation. Restaurant is from the 50's and pools are dirty. Super windy location. I dont think Im coming back!

Clean and comfortable. Not elegant but great resting place with wonderful mineral pools to relax in. Staff friendly and helpful. Great value. Location gave easy access to Joshua Tree National Park and Big Morongo Preserve.
