The hotel was not bad but my review would be much better if they took a little more care. Nobody seemed to be too excited with the guests. Receptionist didn't give me any information during check-in. Some of them were obvious, like WiFi password which was written on receptionist's desk or where the restaurants are. I have never figured out other things, like check-out time/breakfast time etc. I stayed two nights. The first morning I didn't make the breakfast as I came down very late (9:45) and the restaurant was closed. The other morning I came for a breakfast at 8 and tables were full of dirty plates and my eggs and bacon were cold. The hotel has a rooftop bar and pool with awesome view but the bar and the pool were closed all the time I tried. The hotel may need some maintenance. The safe in my room didn't work and A/C in my room didn't work, too. The windows are however not blocked so you can open them fully even on 12th floor. Other than poor service and average maintenance all was good. The hotel price was not bad in overpriced Palermo. The hotel offers a complementary parking (the number of slots is limited). The hotel is close from a beach. There are some bars in the area, too, and it's about 30 minutes of walk to the downtown.
Arrived as a member of g group tour, for a 3 nights half board stay. We got a room on the 7th floor, spacious and clean. We were quite surprised that supper was at a table and not a buffet. We had 4 courses, and the food was OK. Service was a bit slow, because of a big party dinner in the adjoining dinning room. Dinner service was a lot faster in the next evenings. The waiters were very polite and made sure to replace your dish if you asked for something else. The room was very well attended. Front desk service was helpful. The WIFI signal in the room was excellent !! The morning we left, we had an early breakfast, and the service and food were very good. A very pleasant stay.
Any key could open every door of every floor and some of our things where stolen. I tried to inform the stuff but most of them were ironic for no reason and rude... The view was not what we expected as we could see a parking station from our window! Last but not least th food they get served us was not tasty at all...
If you want a quiet, well equipped hotel, with beautiful spaces and very clean throughout, and dont mind that you are ignored by the occasional staff member - when we were staying the restaurant staff were in need of some extra training - this is is a good place to stay. A quick stroll and you are down into the main thoroughfares - but be prepared to walk, or take a taxi to get you across to the Norman heartlands.
This hotel is near to the main street, the traffic is very loud. It is located out of the city, so you need car or go by taxi. Needs renovation, is not 4 star hotel. But the suff is very friendly and helpfull and room was clean.
Excellent service at San Paolo Palace. The hotel is very clean and the staff are helpful. They recommended family friendly places to go too :) we were treated very well. Will definitely visit again :)
The hotel is a bit dated but staff are friendly and go out of your way to help you. It is located outside of the town so a taxi is required but there are handy, local shops very close by. The conference facilities are good and there is a roof top pool but it was closed when I stayed in October. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the view from the room over the sea and surrounding area is breath taking. My room was quiet facing the rear and the windows opened for fresh air. I needed to get another electrical adapter - apparently there are two styles in Palermo - but there was an electronics store close by so that was sorted right away. Wifi was okay.
A good and cheap hotel to stay in Palermo if you have car.Not very close to city centre.Needs renovation. It is not a 4 star hotel. The breakfast is not very good. The pool at the upper floor is very nice.
My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in October. We live in Israel and were on a week-long organized tour of Sicily, and we were satisfied with our stay in this hotel. We found the room to be comfortable, clean, modern-looking, and nicely furnished. We ate our breakfasts in the hotel, avoiding anything with meat (dietary laws), yet nonetheless we were satisfied with the selection and tastiness of the food. We found the entire staff, at the reception desk and in the dining room, to be friendly, helpful and courteous. The hotel's location was not in the city center and not near any park, touristy area or shopping area. So, if you are not planning to explore the area immediately outside the hotel, then this is a satisfactory hotel to stay at. If you’re looking for “action” outside the hotel, take a cab (10 minute ride) or look for a hotel in the city center.
