From a very friendly welcome, to an efficient departure, this place could not be faulted. They helpfully arranged a taxi pick-up from the airport, and warmly greeted us at reception of arrival. Friendly concierge looked after all the bags. Room was minimalist in design but quite comfortable; extra large bed - good. All bathroom facilities worked well. Breakfast was comprehensive. Coffee good. The hotel is very conveniently placed if you like walking to your tourist destinations - as we do.
We enjoyed our stay here, we had a balcony with a view onto the street which was very atmospheric. An aperatif on the roof terrace is a must especially at night. Our room was quite small but nicely decorated. The staff were friendly.
Location is very nice and most attractions are located within a walking distance. Staff is helpful, welcoming and very nice. They speak at least italian, french and english! Breakfast is correct but is the same everyday (even though the croissant are very good). I recommend the hotel without any hesitation!
Good location, made city very walkable. Unfortunately, none of the lights worked in our room when we arrived. The staff came in and out of our room multiple times and on one occasion forced us to leave earlier than we intended. They were eventually fixed for the next guests.
If you look at the hotel pix on its TripAdvisor page you will see many date from some five years ago, which is a clue. The hotel is now pretty run down, seemingly suffering from a lack of investment in the building and rooms. The room we were allocated had a poor bathroom, with rusty shower, etc; the bedroom was sparsely furnished with shelves hanging off the wall. Public areas are dull and in need of redecoration. Breakfast (lunch/dinner aren't served) was just about adequate, but with a very limited range of foods on offer. Coffee was from a serve-yourself machine. The hotel's location doesn't help. While it's not too far from the city centre, it is in a run-down road (well, wide alley) that runs parallel to the Via Roma, an extremely busy and noisy thoroughfare. Because the hotel is on the end of a block, with a road connecting to the Via Roma next to it, there is a lot of traffic noise, it's not possible to leave bedroom windows open at night. Also, while Palermo's bin-men are obviously a keen bunch, them doing their round in the early hours doesn't help with sleeping either. Bright spots? The staff are helpful and friendly, there was a nice home-made cake at breakfast. Other than that, not much. The hotel can only just have scraped into the three-star category. There are many better hotels in Palermo.
We stayed here for two nights, the hotel is in a great location to see the sights of Palermo. The hotel is well presented and just located off one of the main streets. The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a triple room as we had three adults, the room was spacious, clean and modern. The bathroom was a good size as well and we had no issues. Our room was located near reception so we had no issues with the wifi as some reviewers have mentioned. We also had a hire car on our second day and the hotel arranged for it to be securely parked for 15 euros as we could not find any street parking. The only minor negative comment I will make is we experienced a bit of noise coming from the reception, hallway and street from our room. It didn't ruin our stay but did wake us up earlier than we planned. Would recommend this hotel as a place to stay if you are going to Palermo as it is in a good area, close to bars, cafes and restaurants.
Clean, centrally located hotel, friendly and helpful staff especially Vincent at reception was very helpful. The hotel room was cleaned every day, room was spacious, quiet and good light. The supervisor of the hotel was quite friendly.
Nice and pleasant stay here at the hotel Posta.Room was warm due to cold Palermo weather . Adequate space in the room only downside was the showers water pressure . Would stay again if we came back . Bed was very comfortable and asking for extra pillows was no problem at all.
I stayed mid November. The hotel was very central to all walking, good restaurants , sites. Palermo was a stunning city, the hotel was a perfect location. The staff were very helpful, spoke English and made sure I was well taken care off. Very clean, safe for single women, breakfast was excellent. This is the place to stay.
Ideally located hotel in the centre of Palermo, but choose your room wisely!!! The rooms facing the main avenue are VERY noisy, with early morning visits from the garbage truck and street sweepers!!! And if you're extra lucky, the guy with the loud stereo at 4:30am. Also check the condition of the shower, as mine was a trickle at best.
