very nice hotel with stylishly decorated rooms. Our hotel room and bathroom was spacious and the view was beautiful! The restaurant was good and there was a lovely sun terrace with swimming pool. The staff were very friendly and professional. The breakfast was reasonable but for Dutch terms some summier.

I have just returned from my short holiday to this hotel It was a wonderful break The transfer from the airport ( prebook via hotel ) was a welcome sight - especially for a single female traveller €30 The front desk and all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly The taxi into town ran smoothly And even waited for people who he knew were coming back even though they were late . It drops you right into the city centre . There is a bus service that runs . The restaurant was amazing felt not at all like a typical hotel restaurant . The food was outstanding . And typical Sicilian Plus a wonderful wine list Obviously the jaccuzi pool( and view) is a bonus plus the swimming pool and the children's pool . There are no shops nearby unless you have a car , but you could stock up on your trips to the city . But then it is an out of town hotel My only regret I didn't take a kettle as there are no tea/ coffee making facilities in the room

We chose Hotel Bel 3 because of the shuttle service they offered and to avoid having to go into town and finding somewhere to park the car. Unfortunately, the frequency of the service had been had been cut and made transfers a lot less frequent. This information was not updated on the hotel's website. The welcome desk was not very helpful and we had to struggle to get the information we needed. The rooms were clean and comfortable but hotel Bel 3 is not designed for a longer than 3/4 days stay. It had a small swimming pool with a jacuzzi and view over the city.

We stayed there for a week. And although we faced some issues (poor wifi, not really good breakfast) the overall experience is 100% satisfactory: -Staff was always helpful and nice -Facilities are awesome, specially the outdoor jaccuzzi with a breathtaking view of Palermo -The room was pretty nice -Gym is quite good too -Food at the restaurant was delicious, and the staff there exremely nice and proffesional If you want to go to Palermo (and you rent a car, cause the hotel is not near the city centre) this is the place to stay, 100% recommendable!

This hotel sits in the hills overlooking Palermo. The view from our room was absolutely spectacular. It totally made the hotel. Rooms are fine, staff are generally helpful and a nice pool area, although pool is a bit small and they get carried away with the sat. The restaurant has a lovely terrace and serves great wine but the food is fairly average. The main downside is that the hotel is a bit remote and there is nowhere really to go within walking distance. A car is a must. I would definitely stay again.

Some of the negative reviews on here make me laugh. We almost felt scared of staying here before the trip because some reviews said it was a ghost town, and that it was in a "Ghetto" part of Palermo. That was complete bull, and I am glad we didn't let those comments dissuade us from staying here. Anyone who thinks this is a Ghetto part of town has no idea what a real Ghetto looks like. We spent two weeks here from end of June into July. We had a rental car and drove all roads around the area of the hotel and from both directions on the road the hotel is on. The neighborhood is beautiful and charming and Sicilian. There is absolutely nothing to fear about this neighborhood. Furthermore, if you come during off season (any time that is not summer), of course it will be less populated and services will be more sparse. Sicily is a summer destination for travelers. It is not common to find lots of tourists in Spring, Fall or Winter, so people shouldn't rate a hotel as poor because they came in the off season and didn't have lots of services and a full hotel. Furthermore, the comments about no offer to take luggage to room by porter are a joke. The people at the front desk are not porters, nor are they your slaves. They are front desk reception staff. This is a 3-star hotel, which means you carry your own bags. It really bugs me when people complain about a perfectly good 3-star hotel because they didn't get the 4-star or 5-star service they thought they should get. Go pay $3000 a week at a 5-star beachfront resort if that is what you are looking for. Don't come to a place like this and demean it with negative petty comments about breakfast, room service, lack of bellhop services, and other such nonsense, and make people think it's a bad place. This is an EXCELLENT 3-Star hotel. And as for people who say the front desk staff don't understand English and are not friendly, what world are you in? These were the most friendly staff of any hotel we stayed at, and we stay at plenty. Even the owner and his daughter, Giorgia, went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and special. All the staff could communicate with me in English just fine, as with my husband in Italian. With two weeks in Sicily on our first ever trip here, this hotel was our home away from home. It was a Godsend. The room was super clean and big, we had a great balcony and corner room on Floor 2 perfectly overlooking the jacuzzi and the city. The hotel was nicely decorated, had an adult pool, a children's pool, an adults only jacuzzi pool, sundeck loungers, a gourmet Sicilian restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, a separate breakfast room, a billiards room and a fitness room. There was adequate room service for a 3-star hotel. There was a fully stocked mini fridge with cheap drinks (€1 for water and €1.50 for soda). The bathroom was large, had a glass and tiled shower and a bidet. Maid service was excellent, and even the maids had nice conversations with us to make us feel welcomed and valued. There was absolutely nothing negative about this hotel or the staff. No matter what time of day or night, someone is always at the front desk and will greet you and have lengthy conversations with you, if you engage with them. If you treat them friendly and respectfully, they will go above and beyond for you. If you are reading this review and you are a member of the LGBT community, fear not! We are a gay couple celebrating our 20th Anniversary. They are very welcoming and accepting of all people. You will not feel uncomfortable here and will be treated with the same respect and friendliness as anyone else. Giorgia even went out of her way to make us feel welcomed before we even arrived as I communicated with her through email. Her and her dad are running a great operation here. If you will have a car, do yourself a favor and reserve a parking spot for your entire stay at the time of booking. Reserved spots only cost €5 per day, very reasonable, and are behind a security gate arm and guaranteed. The free parking is limited before the security gate ATM and fills quickly, as it is first come first serve. Some people complained on here about the breakfast being horrible and only sweets. That is misleading. There are healthy options, such as yogurt, fruit and whole grain cereals. There are also croissants with or without bakes in sugar jellies. Of course, there are also cakes and cookies. But there are even fresh cold cuts (ham and cheese). The variety is good. There is also plenty of hot coffee, tea and hot chocolate from a self service machine as well as two types of juice daily, and Maitre D service for fresh cappuccino/espresso. Of course if you go 10 minutes before breakfast ends, your selection may be limited. Stop complaining for your tardiness. It's free breakfast and it has cutoff hours. It's way better than a Howard Johnson or Days Inn breakfast. To make a very long review short, if you are a reasonable person who wants an excellent hotel at an excellent affordable rate close to the city but far enough away, stay here! It's worth it's weight in gold!

We stayed for a week in May. We were greeted on arrival by a wonderful guy who loved Ireland having stayed for 3 months, so we were off to a good start. The hotel is outside Palermo which was great for us. The grounds and rooms are immaculately clean and each day was evident in terms of maintenance. The pool and Jacuzzi ( yes it is a Jacuzzi !) were so welcome after a days sightseeing. The transport options we availed of through the hotel were great. Transfer to and from the airport and the shuttle to Palermo. Foodwise, breakfast was fine for us - given you are overlooking the Conca D'Oro - perhaps surprising that there was so little fruit. The coffee machine was simply dreadful but a staff member agreed to make cappuccino for us. We ate 3 nights in the hotel and found the menu varied and the quality of the food was good. The staff are very hard working and dealt with any queries perfectly. The cleaning staff were amazing and the room was turned over each day and left in beautiful order. Other reviewers mention dogs barking and donkeys. I would suggest the noise in a Palermo city hotel might be more than we experienced at Bel 3 in terms of noise. We looked at the donkeys and the doves and the breathtaking and unique view. You can walk to the square - which is 200 metres down a very steep incline on a lethally dangerous road. We made sure to do this in daylight hours only. But it served for local bus link, bar, ice-cream parlour, pizza restaurant, high quality deli and basic shop. Fruit vendor was there occasionally so we stocked up on beautiful apricots, peaches and tomatoes there. It is evident that Hotel Bel 3 is considered very high quality by local patrons and I can see why. We enjoyed our stay and considered it good value for money (just take into account your additional travel costs to get around). Not suitable for elderly, frail, young families unless you have a car. WIFI service worked fine for us.

The hotel is a little way out of Palermo, but this suited me well as I was not a great fan of Palermo itself. There is a car park if you have a hire car (recommended!), but I would not recommend driving in Palermo if you are not used to it as it is extremely chaotic. The hotel offers a frequent shuttle service to the centre (where you can easily get on the hop on, hop off bus service) for 3 euros per person per journey, or you can taxi for about 30 euros. The room was extremely clean and had an amazing view and beautiful sunrise/sunset over the city. Go for a top floor room if you can for best views (hotel is 'upside down' so a room on floor 2 would be preferable). The jacuzzi is nice (if a little cold). The pool area is lovely, but there are no mattresses for the sun beds which was a problem for my bad back. I hate to say it, but the breakfast is atrocious. I understand this is a 3 star, but if you go towards the end of the service, there is seriously nothing left including juice! Noise is a problem. There is a large amount of dogs in the area that do like to bark loudly throughout the night (unfortunate for the hotel as they can't do much about this). The donkeys also tend to join in when the dogs get a bit raucous (not brilliant at three in the morning). The walls are also extremely thin to the point that I woke up several times thinking there was someone in my room! However, all of this said, I would stay again (I actually found the dogs and donkeys quite funny even if my partner didn't !). The hotel is also very reasonably priced and the restaurant for an evening meal is both reasonably priced and offers good food in a lovely position with an outside terrace.

What an incredible view our room boasted! Clean tidy and very comfortable. Gorgeous pool area too. Service at the front desk was a bit disappointing. No effort was made to even be friendly. The attitude of front house doesn't reflect the funky old school vibe of hotel. We had a great stay even if there was blaring music until 1 in the morning - a lot of Simply Red made it a bit more bearable.

the view from this hotelwas amazing but this was all that was amazing about this hotel. I stayed here a week ago (May18) & from the moment we arrived we were disappointed! The staff were very unhelpful. The porter did not even offer to help with our bags. We tried our best to communicated in the little Italain we new but even this did nt brak the ice! It was very disappointing concidering the reviews we hadrad ontrip advisor ravd about this place. We could not even get any room service after 8pm or before 7pm for that matter! The buffet breakfast was appalling! No hot food & only cereal, yoghurt & cakes availble & no fruit. S
