Nice hotel, very spacious rooms, comfy beds and bedding, decent food, very good animation team, nice pools. You'll need a car though to get to the beach and shops or be prepared to get taxis although I think there is a shuttle bus but not sure how often in runs.

The rooms were lovely and modern as well as spacious. Great location and views. The housekeeping staff were amazing! Very helpful with extra bedding and great with additional towels/water etc. Not too intrusive or early with interrupting either. Also, the all inclusive food at the restaurant - plenty of choice and the staff great. Only slight negative was that 2 of the 3 water slides were never open. Possibly a small kitchen area in the room would be great. Otherwise, a superb stay and will definitely look to go back to a wonderful setting 😃👌

We wouldn’t go back unless the hotel had more indoor facilities as it was freezing so we didn’t want to experience the outdoor evening entertainment. The terrace above the restaurant would have made a great place to have indoor entertainment if it was enclosed with glass walls. Our room was cold when we arrived but I was told there was no spare quilts so they just gave me a cotton sheet instead. The air con is only cold air so there’s no heating in the rooms at all. Food was varied and nice, staff were all nice and tried their best to please. The drinks are cheap and cocktails tasted awful, as the alcohol used is cheap and caused me to have a rash. Unfortunately the hotel needs money spending on it to bring it up to 4 star ratings for us. Maybe an indoor pool and spa would be a good start, because not every day is hot enough to sit outside and we spent most of our time in our room as there was nothing else to do in the rain and cold weather. Hiring a car is a good idea if you stay here as the nearby area is boring and it’s a good 30-40 minute walk to the beach, shops and restaurants

Lovely relaxing place

Very quiet location , free bus service to town and beach . We played a round of golf on nearby course .. that was some experience , golf buggy and bring lots of golf balls are essential as terrain is very rough on each side of fairway . Must say scenery was fabulous. One thing I really missed was a decent cup of tea We had a kitchen without commodities ! However We enjoyed our stay there .

Tired and dated - beware extra charges

First the positives - I was a solo traveller and was delighted with my lovely big airy apartment style accommodation on the quieter side of the 3 storey block. It was very clean and was serviced daily with a built in safe (€2 per day charge to use it!!) Food/drink - poor for a 4 star. I like to explore so opted for Half Board. Breakfast was was the best meal of the day with unlimited juice/smoothies/chilled water. Tea and coffee was dreadful. Felt very put out when on the 4th day of my holiday I was challenged by the waiting staff for taking a glass of water with my evening meal - it had been ok to do so the first 3 nights- I was aware that 'drinks' were not included for half board but it never dawned on me that meant water too! There would be a €2 charge for that!! Red wine was €2.50 a glass and served ice cold (not pleasant) The impression given was that they would prefer you to be all inclusive for an added charge of €15 a day, I am. It a big drinker or eater so all these additional charges would have made my holiday very expensive. I chose to buy my own water from a shop at €0.48 a 1.5litre bottle (but was not allowed to take that into the restaurant) The pools and amenity areas were pleasant and there were ample sunloungers available but a €10 charge for a towel (non refundable) glad I took my own. It all felt a bit penny pinching and behind the times. The staff did their best and were courteous but I don't feel able to recommend the hotel to others.

Hotel is not 4 star, no facility to show that its a 4 star, air conditioner was not working properly, two singles beds we requested double beds, each time my husband and I lying down beds are going apart. we ask them to change rooms they said they have no room with double beds. No tea facility in the bedrooms you cannot make a cup of tea in your bedroom. Breakfast and Dinner were all repetitive all the time. Terrible hotel i was very annoyed. The gym area is very dirty, most of the equipment were not working properly. Our holiday was ruined.

The hotel meet our expectations. The room was brilliant and clean but a bit too cold. The hotel is lovely and the surrounding brilliant. The food was very tasty. The internet didn't work most of the time. That was very annoying. In addition the reception staff was unfriendly and didn't help you. The rest of the staff was just doing his job but no friendly smile or short chat.

Good hotel great value

The food selection and quality was excellent especially for seafood, salads and breads. Drinks also very good. We thought it superb value. Hotel very clean and poolside well maintained. Scenic walks down the hill to huge beach and shops nearby. you may wish to get a taxi back. Resort quiet. Staff professional and hardworking. We loved this place.

Excellent holiday.

Loved the resort and the hotel. Staff very pleasant and helpful.the room was very good and the hotel pools and spa top class. The dining was a tad cafeteria'is as you would expect with a buffet type set up. Overall the hotel,resort and beach were excellent. We would go there again

Great family hotel

Lovely modern hotel with huge rooms and plenty of pools, a lovely beach nearby and other activities. We stayed over Christmas and enjoyed a fabulous gala dinner and Santa Claus visiting on a camel with presents for the children. Great fun and the staff all made us feel very welcome, so helpful. Top tip: you can avoid the hill by walking through the sister hotel and using their lift.

Hotel with the potential

We stayed there at the end of May in 2015. Young family with one child. Firstly at the check-in they didn't know that we had a reservation from Expedia. As advertised they got heated swimming pools but I've got doubt about that as my 5 year old child never went to the swimming poll to enjoy it as it was cold, but usually he enjoys it. Not everything in the room were clean, especially table tops were dusty, cupboard doors were greasy. The bed and bathroom was clean. Food: I must admit they got quite nice menu / the food was good and tasty. Be prepared time after time make your table with necessary cutlery as you may find some are missing as the waiters too busy in a peak time to prepare a table. Entertainment Staff is amazing they know how to get you involved in various activities during the day or at disco time. Mini disco for kids, they will love it. Never understood the laundry service they got in their hotel. If you want to have a fun please go for it :).

The hotel is very good and our stay was very enjoyable. The beach in front of hotel is great and we spent there a lot of times fighting with big waves... Food was really good and selection of food was very impressive. On the downside... Water in the swimming pools was cold. Even colder than in the ocean. Some of the rooms needs renovation soon.

The weather was lovely and the hotel was luxurious. There was plenty to eat and drink and lots of choices. Travel is very easy whether you have your own car or use the buses. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. the staff spoke English, French and German as well as Spanish. It is in a good location, near to shops and the beach.

Disliked: Room comfort

Overpriced hotel

Jandia is a beautiful resort but the hotel was not as good as we expected. We booked a double room as it stated it was suitable for 3 people (2 adults and 1 child). It wasn't! 3 single beds in a row and unable to open one of wardrobe doors as 3rd bed had been squeezed in! We found out another couple with 2 children had a much bigger room and paid £500 less than we did as they booked a few months earlier. How can this fair practice! Reception staff were polite but need some charm lessons. Not a 4 star hotel - more like 3 star. We will go back to this resort but not this hotel.

The hotel is situated up a very steep hill (45 degree possibly) . Apart from its situation - which certainly keeps you fit - the hotel is excellent. The facilities, and room - superior sea view was exactly what we were looking for. cleaned daily and comfortable. Entertainment staff were brilliant -day and night. Our only complaint (minor) was the food. The quantity, quality and variety was excellent - there is no need for anyone to go hungry! Our problem was one of the party does not eat fish, and some evenings the meat supplied was goat, veal or rabbit as I put totally not to "our" taste, but no problems if you like these meats. Other choices were pastas, pizzas and vege options! The buffet did get a bit repetative after 12 days so we did eat out on one occasion. Be prepared though as prices have certainly gone up since our last visit about 4 years ago. (3 courses, with bottle wine and two drinks £75) - it makes all inc very reasonable!!!! We would certainly recommend this hotel.

Good Hotel

The hotel is located about a 5 min walk from a great stretch of beach. My wife and I did not stay around the hotel at all because we were always going to different beaches on the island, but there are several great pools for children to enjoy. The staff was great, the buffet restaurant had lots of tasty choices, and the several bars were convenient. The only petty gripe I had was the hotel could have done a better job picking up litter around the hotel. Maybe somebody walking around and picking up after the wind blows the rubbish up, would have been effective. It did not distract from the overall great experience though. This place is worth your money if you plan on staying around the hotel and its immediate area, but if you want to travel around the island and spend time away from the hotel like my wife and I did, you should look into an non-inclusive hotel. Get out and enjoy all the wonderful beaches!!!
