Older Motel Rebranded As An Econo Lodge . Pleasant Check-In Experience and Was Given The Room Type I Requested . Typical Room and Amenities As With Most Older Motels . Easy Access Off Interstate For Road Trip Travelers .
This hotel ranks right up there with the worst I've ever been forced to stay in. We stopped after a long day of driving based on mostly positive reviews. It was awful. The first impression was of a chemical cleaning odor so strong we had to leave the door open for an hour. The carpet was very dirty, we found bugs in the bathroom later when we turned the lights on. We were so tired from driving we just decided to tough it out. Then a woman checked in next door who proceeded to talk LOUDLY ALL NIGHT LONG on her cell phone, so loudly that we could hear her over our TV, through the adjoining wall and door. I have absolutely crossed this place off the cross-country trip list.
We stopped here late in the night. The front desk person was very nice and check in was easy. This is an older motel which was fine. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. It was clean overall and a quiet stay. You could park your car right outside your door which was easy for unloading and loading your luggage. The breakfast was basic. It was located about 1/2 off interstate 24.
We needed a stop over so we picked this place online. I should have read the reviews before my partner booked the room. Most of the buildings looked like the were condemned when we arrived. Inside the lobby is mostly closed as well as the restaurant. I understand if they are remodeling but it really does not look like that. The room had no telephone and no internet (she did say the internet was being fixed but I see several reviews that say that as well so I am guessing it is just never on) there are much better hotels closer to the interstate
Don't even waste your time or money! This place is nothing like the pictures and outside of the nice staff at the desk, they shouldn't even be in business. We were charged WAY too much for the frightening condition the place is in. We commented to the owners, but received a cookie cutter vague response so it is clear they do not care. care.
Cashed in some Choice Privileges points for a two-night stay here. Asked for and received a suite on the first floor. There are several buildings here at this facility, the one I was in is directly behind the office. The facility is dated and probably could use some renovations, but the room I had was for the most part, clean. The bed was comfortable. It was a bit dim, however. Wi-fi speed was a bit slow and the shower water pressure was average for a motel. I did notice a piece of something that looked like the corner of a candy wrapper on the floor of the bedroom that hadn't been vacuumed up, but housekeeping got it when they cleaned the room during my stay. Both the front room with the sitting area and the back room with the bed have televisions. This place may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it was fine for my needs. I will be back in the Land Between The Lakes area this fall and would not hesitate to stay here again.
Tanya and the Staff were very friendly and helpful to our group. They gave us a room where we could gather in the evenings. The breakfast was very good. The rooms need some work. The ceilings need patching. It is my understanding that it is under new ownership and repairs will be made.
I have been visiting this area for 40 years but usually stay with family which was not an option at this time. This motel has been there forever and needs quite a bit of renovation. The restaurant is closed. Pool was an algae farm. A cheap price considering what you get. Two stars for the friendly helpful staff.
offers breakfast, laundry and seems like it's been recently renovated. As soon as you walk in from the lobby, you will feel welcomed. If you happen to pass by the area, i would definitely stay the night. Can't beat the value
I should have known something was amiss when there was only one other room occupied on Thanksgiving week. Room was ok but no wifi or network connection, so I could not do the business I needed to do. No help from front desk when advised of a problem. "Well, I'm connected at the front desk..." was the response I received. There are other hotels in the area... Check them out first...
