Un Clean. Found a mystery hair on my pillow. Smelled strange. Tiny shampoos. Dirty looking comforters. Lobby very un inviting Would not stay here again !! Needs a total remodel. Washer and Dryer in parking lot also a bad sign
When you come to The Hotel it's all confused, starting for the reception entrance and it's kind of weird when the reception have a window bulletproof, strange feeling. The guy working at the reception is very rude and look like he doing a favor for you every time you need something. On the parking outside says: stop here for your own risk, oh gosh. The room smell like some cheap spray, very strong. The shower is weak and not strong. I don't recommend this place for nobody and only stay here some days because the price. Bad experience.
Same price as most other hotels here, so why bother? Indifferent service at the front desk, breakfast of stale pastries and cheerios, no hot water; add to this our room with a kitchenette. It had no dishes, cutlery or anything to cook with. Why stay at a hotel that has a kitchen that you cannot use? The front desk really didn't care and insisted that we should've packed dishes to cook with in our suitcases. (?) We stayed because of business in South San Francisco with the hope of using the beach.
My husband and I stayed here for one night on our way up the California coast. The room was large and very well equipped. Everything was up-to-date and it had all the amenities. It was clean and well kept. I would definitely stay here again.
After reading recent reviews here we thought this was simply a no-frills option for a tourist to stay economically along the SF coast, easy walk or drive to the oceanfront. Seriously? People have been reviewing this place waaay too generously, especially for what you have to pay. If you aren't prepared in advance for what you are getting into here, you will join me and the other poor husbands getting dirty looks from their wives and family for putting them up in this hotel on their vacation! 1. Coming off the highway and entering the neighborhood to find the hotel you may begin to wonder what you've gotten into. it's not fair to call it rundown, is it? Dirty looks from the family begin. C'mon don't act spoiled. 2. Pull into the hotel's parking lot and the spaces on the right shine on the side of a house bearing a sign that warns you, "User Assumes All Risks". Really feeling good about where you're at now. Guess I better plan on completely emptying the car out into our room. 3. Entering the hotel you'll be delighted to find the front desk surrounded by a bullet proof glass-looking shroud, with drilled holes for you to talk into and a slot for you and the clerk to pass things through. Now there is no denying what kind of neighborhood or clientele you've booked your family into. You are going to hear about this. Forever. Should I take the non-refundable hit at this point and bolt out of there? 4. Our clerk was kind and friendly - kudos to him. 5. Asked where breakfast would be -- that's the three feet of counter space next to the bullet-proof glass, and the couple of tiny tables behind you against the wall. 6. Elevators, carpeting all dingy and odorous. Expecting to see hookers and drug dealers any minute -- fortunately only saw other tourists. 7. Room was in good order and decently clean, so long as you didn't look behind or under anything. Family wants to lock themselves in the room and barricade the door. Needless to say we will not be taking a stroll through this neighborhood to find the public oceanfront. 8. Breakfast: staff not monitoring supplies and had to be tracked down to refill them: cereal, bread, packaged danish, jam, bananas, juice. In the middle of that, treated to the spectacle of a steady flow of guests with stern looks on their faces busting out of the place like they're fleeing a disaster, with more wives shooting dirty looks at their husbands. Now you should have a real feeling for the experience. I've stayed in worse - but not after paying this much and being mislead by the pictures and happy reviews people are leaving for this place. If it suits you, great, but be prepared for what you're getting.
It was alright...out dated water wouldn't drain real well in shower or sink. Hotel needs work. A lot of noise on our floor. I'm not sure I would stay again. It seemed clean I guess that is all that matters
Stayed for five nights in December 2015. This is a very comfortable and welcoming Motel. Just two minutes onto PCH and twenty five minutes from Golden Gate Bridge. Pacifica has a lovely Broadwalk along the Pacific Ocean. Supermarkets and Various Eateries are within five minutes of this fine Motel.
This hotel is really nice on the north side of Pacifica. It is two blocks from a wonderful beach walk and great food. Eat at Pacifica Thai Cuisine. You won't be disappointed. Our room was really large and the bed was firm and comfortable. The shower and tub had great hot water.
My husband stayed for a quick 2 night getaway. The room was large, clean, comfortable and had an ocean view. It also had a fridge and microwave, which is always great for getting to bring back leftovers and snacks. The hotel is close to the beach and pier. It was affordable especially since we spend a lot of time out of our rooms normally.
We used this hotel as our base to visit SF. Rooms were confortable and clean. Breakfast was ok. There is an excellent supermarket very close by. Only complain was front desk was not helpful and borderline with rude.
