The room was beautiful, the staff was friendly and welcome, but I was very disappointed by some aspects of my stay, I only was there for 2 days. They didn’t remove the cup from my welcome drink and when I moved it outside my room it sat there until I left even though they came for turn down service and to clean my room since I was clearly finished with it. I also asked the housekeeping for an extra qtip when she came for the turn down and she handed me a cup and clearly didn’t understand English, just a bit disappointing.
Also, they didn’t give me slippers and when I was I was told they ran out of them. I find that hard to believe. I had called twice and then after almost an hour they called back to say they ran out.
At breakfast at the buffet they didn’t get my drinks to my table in time for my meal either and other customers said that was typical. I loved the hotel, I’ve been coming to st maarten for years and although the property was beautiful I have stayed at many JW marriotts and this one was about a 6/10 when the brand is usually a 10/10.
