We have stayed in many historic buildings though out the world and so we can objectively evaluate this place. It is in very poor condition and over priced.
The place is historic and rustic, has it's own beauty in terms of looks/design. It's like going back a couple of centuries in time. The area is peaceful and beautiful. Clean sheets/towels. Just that the carpet and air has been unhealthy for us. Unable to get a decent sleep. Muggy air, feels heavy, humid with foul smell in our room...kicked allergy, sore throat, congestion with tingling/itchy feeling all over. Waited for the sun to come up to leave...move. Glad to experience a peice of history, not so glad for not feeling well.
For the price, it was not terrible, a the breakfast was on them, and that was really nice.

Thank you for staying at our 1710 Inn. Delighted you enjoyed its beauty and charm as we have worked hard to preserve the history and this iconic building. So pleased your wife enjoyed Plein Air which is a perfect showcase for this wonderful area. The AC and air handling in your room is all new, perhaps the combination of your dog and the heat advisory (world publicized) might have had some impact. Thank you for your business and feedback, both greatly appreciated. Regards Ian & Mark
