The recently renovated Carpenter St. Cottage is centrally located in village of St. Michaels. The house is a 2 bedroom 2 full bathroom house with plenty of living space and a large screened porch facing a large yard. Rates vary by season, and whether stay is weeknight or weekend. Stays of a week or longer are discounted, as are "last minute" bookings.

The first floor of the house includes a front parlor (living room), a den (reading room) with a queen sleep sofa, a full bathroom, a first floor bedroom with a queen bed, a fully equipped new kitchen, and a large family room. A lovely home just a block from the shops and restaurants on Talbot Street. The rear addition adds generous living space while preserving the charm of the historic house. The screened-in back deck is a great feature for relaxing evenings.Upstairs, the bedroom feels like a second retreat—spacious, comfortable, and filled with windows that let in the night air (no AC needed). My pup especially enjoyed lounging in her bed, watching the squirrels in the yard, and taking long walks through the quiet back streets and marinas of St. Michaels.

Such a disappointment! House looked totally different from the photos. To start with, paint peeling off the front shutters and the door was spray-painted maroon, with an air conditioning unit duck-taped into the upper left-hand dormer window. Inside, furniture was beyond fixer-upper (I’m ok with IKEA, but not with disgusting old furniture with sunken-in cushions). The kitchen stove does not ever appear to have been cleaned (yuck!!). Our young child asked what was wrong with this broken house! Good question, as we certainly paid top dollar to be there over the Xmas parade weekend. We left one night early to sleep on a proper mattress in our own home - instead of the sunken foam disaster in the upstairs bathroom. Also, the dryer was gross. Totally overpriced home with reviews that positive reviews that must have been from friends (as home owner is well-known in town).

Overall amazing place right in downtown St. Michaels. The place was wonderful! The only thing we'd flag is that late at night a lot of people walk down the street from one of the bars and are extremely loud not following the noise ordinance.

Perfect Weekend Stay

This house has the perfect location to explore the town. We stayed in this house for the St. Michael’s Running Festival and it couldn’t have been better. The location was so close to the start/finish lines and there were so many restaurants within a few minutes walk.

Perfect in Every Way!

Such a beautiful home-perfect location, filled with antiques plus everything needed for a fun getaway. The house is located right off of Talbott Street- enjoyed walking to local bakery/coffee shop- Sprout, eating breakfast at Carpenter Street Saloon and shopping. Great communication with our host who was so knowledgeable about the area. Church bells rang throughout the day. Beautiful views all around. Easy walk to the Lighthouse and Maritime Museum.
