The hot breakfast was good, with hot and cold options. The rooms were clean. The staff was great, and there was parking. It was walkable to town and transportation by bus into city center was very convenient The staff was great. Would stay there again.

This is not a four star hotel but just a bed and breakfast. The rooms are ok but don’t expect luxury. If one can ignore the plastic shower fittings, the toilet paper dispenser and the noisy bathroom extractor, the rest is ok. It is far from the centre of Oxford. The breakfast is big but of very poor quality. Also, it is expensive for the price on Expedia. Possibly one can pay much less if books on the hotel website.

Great stay here! Easy parking, friendly personable staff, very nice ground floor room, clean, comfortable, quiet, convenient location for walking to several restaurants, good selection of items at breakfast with seating in a natural light filled room. It has more of a Bed and Breakfast than a hotel feel.

Don’t stay in room 10

Hotel it self is absolutely fine, I’ve stayed there a few times in the past, but this time I was in room 10, which unfortunately is above the main entrance, the noise was constantly loud until after midnight, which meant that I was extremely tired when I went for breakfast and work, and had a long drive after that, Bobby on reception to inform, so won’t be staying again

The hotel was clean, the bed comfortable and the breakfast was great. The rooms we booked were relatively inexpensive. Good parking options at front and rear of hotel. I would stay there again.

Avoid the upper floor and Room 20. The direction to our room took us up a narrow stairs. The walls were badly marked and the carpet hadn’t been introduced to the vacuum for some time. The room carpet was stained, and the piece of carpet in the window alcove was separated from the rest by a margin. The curtains were flimsy and didn’t contribute to excluding street light or vehicle noise. The bathroom was a lab for black mould on the wood frame of the velux window. It was decorated with a cobwebs. The floor had cracked tiles. The overhead shower in the bath worked well for the one of us who was 5’2” but not so good for the other one. We had really wanted to abandon ship but we had some urgent things to do that afternoon and early the day after so doing so wasn’t really an option. Avoided breakfast. A bit greasy. We chose this place because it was close to where we needed to be, it had four stars and a good rating. Really! Photos on my other device.

We were extremely surprised that this hotel is considered a 4-star hotel at all. The room given to us definitely needed some deep cleaning and upgrading to meet the 4-star bar: the shower head was leaking and spraying water upwards, paint was peeling, the caulk was turning black in the bathroom, there were stains on the toilet bowl, and dust was accumulating in less-used parts of the room. On the plus side, the staff was definitely very friendly and helpful.

Long weekend break

Small bed but comfortable,easy access to Oxford either walking 45 minutes or bus 10 minutes regular service. Unfortunately we had a room at the front of the building and there was constant traffic noise no air conditioning so had to open windows. No blind in bathroom which overlooked the main road. Looked clean but on further examination lots of dust in corners skirting boards,corridors full of dust and needs redecoration. Now the positives breakfast room well decorated and light breakfast excellent full English,fruit yoghurts and cereal and cheese available friendly efficient staff. Onsite parking okay. Nice garden with patio and furniture could do with a little tidy up.
