Hotel is in a great location about a 5 minute walk down the road from the centre of Oviedo. The rooms are nice and big and have everything you need. However the staff can at times be difficult and not as attentive as you would expect.
Good area, convenient location great rooms, clean bathrooms, safe box and TV. The rooms have a sense of a more expensive hotel whilst you enjoy everything for less. Well yes the lobby area is not that great but for what you pay its fantastic. The breakfast was very good but could be slightly less expensive. A good recommendation for Oviedo
We would have rated this hotel very good except that the complicated airconditioning system turned off in the middle of the night and refused to restart. There are no instructions available, only a guide to the dials. (It is useless showing only an arrow to "temperature" when it remains set on "off" and no amount of adjustment brings back a temperature). Fortunately we were on the sixth floor and were able to open the windows (yes, we did try to fix the air conditioning with the windows closed and by re inserting the key card but nothing worked)
Stayed here for a long weekend. The room was clean and looked fine at first. The staff were mainly professional and friendly. However, although this place is in a good location and it's low cost, I would never stay here again. This is because I hardly slept during my stay because of noise and discomfort. The aircon didn't work and wasn't fixed despite us reporting it to reception. This meant our 8th floor room was very hot and airless, which made sleeping tough. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable, and seemed like a small double. Lastly the bathroom in the neighbouring room was beside our bed wall. That meant that every bathroom visit by our neighbour could be clearly heard by us. I expected the hotel to be basic because of the price but this was sadly sub standard and they need to up their game.
Right next to the Principe Felipe Auditorio (concert hall/convention centre) yet only a pleasant 10 minute stroll into the old town, this hotel is a great place to stay in Oviedo. Very clean, quiet rooms (I have stayed 3 times) and a nice breakfast. The bar/restaurant is also very good and open late. A few other good eating/drinking options nearby as well, but as I said it is a nice walk into the old town where you can drink sidra to your heart's content. (I'm not a fan of generic fizzy cider but this stuff is amazing). Helpful staff and not too far from the airport.
We enjoyed our one-week stay at this hotel. I'm not sure about the four star rating but whatever, it is comfortable and quiet with friendly helpful staff. Special mention for Daniela on Reception. It is located in an essentially residential area about a 10 minute walk to the railway station then about another 20 to the Old Town. On-site car parking is very limited and while not too expensive at 10 Eur. a day, the bays looked a bit tight to us. There is free parking a little further up the hill in side-roads though we found spaces sometimes limited or go up a little further for ample space on the main road itself.up. We did not eat at the hotel, somehow I doubt that that is part of the core business. The breakfast buffet was excellent.
The hotel is located very near town centre, walking distance and that is all. We had a room on the first floor (110), corner room so small that 2 of us and 4 pieces of luggage could hardly fit. At the reception we were informed that we booked economy room and this is it, I had no idea what is the economy room and tried to upgrade for extra charge but the hotel was full. On top of this we pre booked the car space but were informed that they do have a problem with parking and we need to leave the car in the front of the hotel. The same next day. The room had a window which we could not open as ... the smell from exhausts was terrible. It was like a broom cabinet not a hotel room, if so never for double occupancy. Very disappointed as Oviedo is such a beautiful city.
This turned out to be one of the nicer hotels on the trip. Not in the heart of things but on the bus line so that getting to the old town and back was very easy. The reception staff was very helpful. We were in town on a Sunday and all restaurants close at 4pm. Our receptionist made a 3pm reservation for us at a well known local restaurant on the edge of The Old Town and it was wonderful.
The hotel is conveniently located, 10 minutes' walk from the town centre. There is a parking lot but not exactly on the premises, somewhere else nearby. The price is 9 € per day, a couple of euros cheaper than in the public underground car park beside the hotel. Our double room (No. 906) was quiet, huge, spotlessly clean, provided with AC and two TVs and decorated in the seventies-eighties style (not exciting but not too tired nor dismal either). The bed was king size and comfortable enough. Good free wi-fi connection in room. In the bathroom there were two washbasins and a Jacuzzi - and no toilet brush, as it too often happens in Spanish hotels (maybe they think it's unseemly, how preposterous ); on the other hand, there is a bidet (with lid!). Buffet breakfast is excellent, with everything one could need, including lactose-free and soy milk. For the price (69 € breakfast included), definitely good value for money.
This is a first class hotel. The staff are superb, I should particularly like to mention Daniella on reception who was charming and helpful at all times. The restaurant staff are also excellent and the food wonderful whilst being reasonably priced. The breakfast is all anyone could ask for.
