No booking at the accommodation

I arrived at the hotel to find that the booking i had mafe through you and NOT been made to the hotel and the hotel was full do i had to find my alternative accommodation which was more expensive. I require an explanation and an immediate refund

No Room at the Inn

Arrived after a very long journey to be told that they had no room. They blamed a change in management for not having access to any bookings from Hotels.com or Expedia. On a positive note, the manager did call the Black Horse and established that they had a room available.

Don't book this place. We showed up for our booking that we made six months in advance, to be told they could not find our booking and had sold out all rooms for the night. The bar staff called their manager, who said that the "system was down" and so they could not process a refund and to request one through Expedia. They did not offer any kind of backup plan or compensation. Extremely disappointed and annoyed.

Fantastic help from Joe as premises was closed due to change of ownership. But Joe booked me in and next morning cooked a fabulous breakfast. Thank you.

Short comfortable stay

Short break to visit family, room was good, very clean, comfortable and no noise from bar downstairs. Delicious breakfast with very friendly staff serving.

New owners

We advise by the barman that the hotel was in the process of changing hands, and that some of the drink stock was being run down. This was also evident at breakfast on both mornings. I'm sure it will improve under new ownership. All staff that we dealt with were excellent.

Warm, friendly welcome from staff. Carparking at the rear was free. The adjoining public car is also free from 1730 to 0730 and all day Sunday. Excellent value for money in a pub with rooms. Double en-suite room was clean and comfortable. It had all you would want for a couple of nights stay exploring the area.
