"I thought that the check-in time of 4pm was excessive, especially given that the hotel did not seem busy, but I was happy to pay €20 to gain earlier access. Plus the staff that I dealt with during my stay were lovely.
The room itself was nice, but had none of those extras that make a hotel stand out (plus there was no conditioner in the dispenser, which I only found out when I went to use it). I cannot remember what the room cost me, but I was clearly getting good value for money. The room was quiet, despite the hotel being on a main road, and an Underground station being right outside was very welcome.
Nuremburg itself was very easy to navigate, and quite friendly to being on foot. The trip from the flughafen took about 16 minutes, which was so easy as it did not even require a change of trains.
I am giving Scandic Hotels another go in another location this year, and I would not rule out returning to this one at some point."
