Liked that it was close to the beach, walking, and restaurants. Nice and friendly staff. Stayed a few time years ago. Unfortunately this time was not as enjoyable. Didn’t like the moldy smell of the room when we walked in. Later we walked to town and bought room spray. Also the room was not clean. Had to clean the toilet ourself. The windows and curtains were dirty and super dusty. The wall in the kitchen was dirty and had a black hair stuck to the grime. They didn’t provide shampoo, just conditioner and lotion.

The hotel is dated and our room was not very big. Very small dated bathroom. We did have a studio on ground floor so this wasn’t one of their lakeside balcony type rooms that perhaps is more updated? However the AC worked, there was parking included and he went to the trouble of getting us a more ideal spot for our truck. There are recliners on the beach which was lovely. And a communal bbq if you are so inclined. Location on the lake is the best! Overall satisfied for the cost for our 3 nights in peak season.

The Surfside is a cute well maintained property. Our studios suite was a little dated but it was clean and all we needed for two nights. The owners and staff were so kind and helpful and the beach was nice. Extra bonus as they have 4 BBQs for use as well as floaties. Overall a good stay!
