Thon Hotel Gardermoen

The hotel staff is very friendly, the rooms are comfortable and nice. This is a very good deal for the money. It would be nice to have more options for food buying. Also, connecting to town is a nightmare.

It has a good location for an airport hotel. Fast-food and convenience stores nearby (walkable). On both the airport shuttle and the cheaper local bus route. The breakfast is excellent after 6am, basic from 4am. The rooms are minimalist but clean. The price cant be beat in this area. I've stayed a few times and the front-desk staff have always been friendly and efficient.

close to airport ideal for an early departure. The breakfast was good. The lobby busy place with tour groups checking in and out.. Too bad parking was not free.

I love this unpretentious, utilitarian style of Norwegian Thon Hotels. It is excellent value, rooms are clean and simple. The breakfast is a real Feast, everything is spacious, well lit, simple and convenient. Internet was pretty fast, and free, showers- warm, and sparkling clean. What else would you want for a short sleep-over in Norway?

Convenient place near the airport. Reasonable cost, friendly staff, good breakfast.

This is my worst experience with an airport hotel. I booked a nonsmoking room. When I arrived I was told all the nonsmoking rooms had been taken. I showed my reservation that said "nonsmoking", but they said they could not help me. So, they offered me a smoking room, and they said they would do me a favor by not charging me the higher, smoking room rate. That seemed like a joke. There were others who had a similar experience. Another problem is that very strange room numbering system. It made absolutely no sense and made it difficult to find my room. The room was pricey, but that is to be expected in Scandinavian countries. However, on top of the hotel price, there was a pricey ticket for the shuttle from the airport to the hotel, and the shuttle took a long time because it made several stops. In most other countries, shuttles between the airport and "airport hotels" are free.

Excellent hotel when you want to just spend a night and not bother with amenities. Very good price and convenient distance from the airport. TV costs extra and I didn't bother ordering it at all (very costly!) - but internet is free (for certain amount of data), as well as complimentary breakfast, which is very good. The room is clean, bathroom floor is heated, and the bed comfortable. This is the second time I use this hotel, and I will definitely book them again when I need an overnight stay in Oslo prior to the flight out. oh - might be good to know that the shuttle to and from the airport costs 70 NOK one way.

We missed our flight on 6-13-12 and all the hotels in and near the city center were full. I would say this place is good for up to 1day max. There is no restaurant nearby and also nothing to do or see nearby. It is about 45 mins from the city center. There was only 1 english speaking channel on the tv. Luckily there is breakfast but it is geared more the British/rest of Europe traveler and not really American. The shuttle to the aiport was about $11 per person and it took 20 min or so to get there since it drops by other hotels. But the room was clean and had everything you need as far as shelter goes. In another desperate pinch I would stay again since the price was reasonable but if you are here to see the city, I would not recommend staying here.

Quiet and clean hotel if you don't want anything else than a nice comfortable bed to sleep in. Free internet (though only up to 1MB), no TV though - you can buy TV and movies but the price is pretty steep. So is takeout for the evening; there is no on-site bar or restaurant. Free breakfast is quite good; the shuttle to the airport runs on time (costs 70NOK). Would recommend to people who only need a bed and breakfast prior or after their flight (at a very decent price).

came late due to the flight schedule change. The location is convenient especially if you have a car and need to travel soon. Very quet inspire the proximity to airport. Well equipped family room, but the electricity plugs are difficult to find and use. Good breakfast and very friendly stuff. modern budget hotel.

an ok facility with a good breakfast buffet, but if your room is on the highway side of the building it could be very noisy from road traffic

A very modern motel-type accommodation with expensive bus access to airport.Breakfast available but not included with [...]reservation.

This hotel was far cheaper than any of the other hotels around the Oslo airport. The rooms are nice and clean, if somewhat minimalistic, yet they're far larger than many others I saw in Norway. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Beware that there is no free shuttle from the airport; the shuttle costs NOK 60 per person each way (and that's fairly cheap for Norway standards). Perfect hotel to stay at if you have an overnight layover in Oslo.

We thought the shuttle was provided with the hotel but it cost 60 Kroner for a one way trip for each of us. Nothing in room. No water glasses, ice containers, etc. The shower was very small. It was a clean hotel but expensive for what you got.

Good value for the price paid.
