We were disappointed with our stay at Ibis Osaka Umeda. The room was extremely small, and the bathroom felt cramped due to a large pillar. The front desk staff—especially the assistant manager—did not seem welcoming. The lobby area is also quite tight and often crowded with luggage, which makes it feel congested. Additionally, the hotel does not have an on‑site laundry facility, and the nearest option is about a 15‑minute walk away.

Location of the property was very good, close to Umeda Station which provides easy access to the Midosuji line to get to tourist spots. There are a variety of dining areas close to the hotel and in the malls close by. Take the elevator from the hotel to the basement and it leads to dining areas and the mall. The size of our room was decent for one with twin beds. I had a problem with the toilet that had stains that was either hard to get at to clean or not possible to clean. Either way it was unpleasant. Either change the whole toilet or find a way to have your guests enjoy a perfectly white toilet. Staff were friendly and helpful. They spoke English well so communication was a non-issue. Breakfast was okay, nothing exceptional. It would have been nice if they would have whole grain breads to choose. They had Costa coffee which I enjoyed.

The hotel was a bit confusing to find initially (via the underground shopping mall), but it was a good location near several stations. The room was small as expected so not much room for large cases, but the king sized bed was very comfy and the shower was excellent. Breakfast had a good selection.

The twin bed room is very small as it is in the busy area in Umeda. The breakfast provided in the restaurant on the 1/F has a variety of food, like Japanese style food, western style food, salad and fruits. It is a reasonable choice if you don't need to stay in the hotel for long hours during your visit in Osaka.
