Hotel Osaka Castle

small room, average bed. what makes my stay worse is that, there's no AC during the period I stay. The hotel explains there's no AC service during fall. No AC during night is OK as the temperature is manageable however during day time, it's so hot I couldn't even stay in the room. Even the toilet is cooler than the room and I'm not joking. I will not come back to this hotel, even though it's conveniently located above Keihan mall.

We recently spent 4 nights at Osaka Castle Hotel and it is perfectly located to get to all local attractions. The rooms are small but are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of items, so although it was a buffet there was certainly plenty to eat, along with omelettes made to order.

Great hotel inside the Keihan City Mall. Easy access to the train system. It's clean, neat and contains all the amenities including a hairdryer, aircon, bar fridge and comfy beds. It's a 20 min walk to Osaka Castle which is beautiful. It's a 20 min train ride from Shinsaibashi mall and 20 min from Umeda department store precinct. Awesome buffet breakfast also. There's also a department store in the complex with restaurants at the top and an amazing grocery store at the bottom. Only downside is there are smoking rooms next to non smoking rooms.

Convenient location but room is extremely small. Price is a bit ok but could have been more reasonably priced. Nothing much to brag abt the hotel room. Good for short stay. Good for those who are not fussy.

In Osaka, like most major cities, space is at a premium. Osaka Castle Hotel offers spacious rooms with a nice water front view. The room we got was about $250 USD per night, and had space for three beds without feeling cramped. It's not fancy or modern, but the location, the spaciousness of the room, and the free wi-fi make it a solid choice if you are staying in Osaka. Oh, and as the name implies, it walking distance to Osaka Castle.

For our first 3 nights in Japan my friend and I stayed in the Osaka Castle Hotel. We found the hotel in a great spot situated on a lovely river bank. There was a train station underneath the hotel but unfortunately it was not a JR Line. The rooms although small very very clean and the beds very comfortable. The hotel is situated within walking distance of the Osake Castle and river boat cruises are available right on the river bank at the front of the hotel. Overall the hotel was good value for money.

The hotel is very accessible since it sits on top of Tenmabashi Station. It's walking distance to the castle. It also by the river and can take the river cruise just outside. Only comment is that the room is very small. I guess it's a regular Japanese room size. I don't mind staying there again since I'm familiar with the vicinity already.

Hotel was great and in a fantastic location. With two energetic boys under 6 the quad room was great value for the price. The boys loved watching the aqua duck go past. There is plenty to do close by, heaps of food and grocery options and the station being so close is a huge bonus.

This hotel is situated in a shopping centre complex and is very accessible by public transport. You can walk to the hotel underground from the Temmabashi underground station, so your don't really get too cold. Our room was small and somewhat tired, with a single window that looked out on the wall of the rooms facing the river (so there are rooms that are much more aesthetically pleasing). Overall, the price we paid I feel was commensurate with what got. This hotel seems to be popular with conference bookings, and has a high occupancy rate, so I guess you can judge by that that it is a good place to stay. Breakfast was fantastic and varied. Staff were terrific, knowledgeable and always there to help us out. We were initially given a smoking room, which was immediately changed when we asked, so be careful. When you come from Australia, it is a given that all rooms are smoke free, and it is sickening to go into a room that smells of stale tobacco. The hotel is about 2 stations from central Osaka, and from there you can go anywhere by public transport. I would most likely stay here again.

I must say I love its location. First, sitting on top of the Tenmabashi Metro station, it could not be easier to pop on the super-convenient railway network, plus the station is quite near to one of the two biggest stations in Osaka - Umeda. Second, it takes visitors about 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to the most attractive place in Osaka, and that's why it was named that way. Finally, I fully enjoyed the riverside view and some river walks during sunset. The room was nice and, as any other ordinary Japanese hotel room, small. It is suitable for those who spend a whole day outside hopping between attractions and just need a cozy bed to rest at night. Despite being an old hotel, the renovation seems to be taking care well and furniture met my requirements. Staff was ok. It's nice to have my luggage placed in room after I left them at the lobby due to early arrival.
