Hilton Osaka4.5 out of 5.0

Spent two nights in April with my family for 3 rooms. Family members are diamond members of Hilton so we booked the lowest category of the room. However, we were not able to get an upgrade, even to one level higher. Yes, we understand the hotel is busy and upgrades are subject to availability. Perhaps all the travellers book high categories and the hotel is full of gold or diamond guests? Anyway, yes, Hilton listed it clearly for upgrades, subject to availability. Travellers, you may interpret this in your perspectives. Despite the room upgrade, when I checked in, was told about the diamond benefits: breakfast, lounge access etc.. official stuff. However, after I handled the check in, I was given a sheet, stating that there would be no electricity after the mid-night for few hours (what?) i was told that it’s government decision but definitely I didn’t know about it until the last minute. Some hotels have the announcement for guests before booking in their websites but for this, I am sure that I didn’t receive any information on it before the visit... I asked if I could open the windows and the answer was no. What do you expect when you have to stay in a hotel room without air con after the mid-night? Very shocking... Besides, the lounge was under renovation (I guess) and we had to go to a temporary lounge (a suite?) to enjoy the lounge service. Base on these, I guess you cannot rate a high marks for any hotels, particularly the Hilton brand. Have been really hesitating to give a 3 or what.. but sorry, only 2 marks for this stay. Check my review on other SPG properties in Osaka. I guess you know how to pick.
Visited Osaka Hilton for four nights early June. Location is perfect with the airport limo arriving from KIX just across the road. Rooms have generally been renovated, though still a bit small. Service levels pretty good. Would recommend for any savvy travellers.
This has to be the finest Hilton we have stayed at, and would easily pass as a Conrad. The access to public transportation couldn’t be better, with the JR Line across the street and a subway stop outside the door.
My family just checked in today and it is the third time we have been staying at Osaka Hilton because of its great location and spacious room. We were particularly impressed by a cheerful and helpful staff named Sakata this time. He speaks very good English and has been very patient and professional in managing our requests and enquires. He also gave us a pleasant surprise of a free upgrade to our favorite floor. It really made our day!
The family stayed at Hilton Osaka for two nights on 15 April and it was a stay that we wished we could stay longer. Coming directly from Hilton Tokyo via Nozomi to Osaka Station, Hilton Osaka is literally only 2min walk (right across the road) from Osaka Station. Excellent location! My Diamond membership was well recognised with an upgrade to the wonderful Tower Suite. I thought the 60sqm at Hilton Tokyo was already quite large, but this 90sqm Tower Suite totally blows the former away! Huge thanks to Ayaka and Keiko at reservations and Shohei during check in! Staff at the executive lounge was also very friendly and helpful. We had the opportunity to use the temporary lounge (high floor) on the first night and then enjoy as first guests to use the brand new lounge on the 16th of April. Very spacious, stylish and comfortable. All the hotel managers were present at the opening of the new lounge and had friendly conversations with guests enjoying breakfast. Iseki in the lounge was very helpful when I needed to urgently print and scan documents for work. We enjoyed our stay at Hilton Osaka and loved our room so much! My wife and daughter even 'forced' me to request for extending our stay at the hotel, but unfortunately when I asked, the hotel was already fully booked... (next time I guess!) Exceptional service, conveniently located in Osaka, and the best hotel during our first Japan trip!
The 2nd floor was being renovated when we travelled there. It created some confusion as for restaurants but otherwise everything was great. The location, the room, the staff. Try some okomoaki Osaka style while you are there
Great location!! It is so easy to access to train stations, restaurants, shopping centres and almost everything. Staff were very helpful and they offered me early checkin. My room was upgraded and it had nice view.
This was our first stop in 2 week holiday to Japan. Hotel location was excellent just across the road from the station. Good communication with staff before & during our stay. Nightly charge is a bit high on its own - fortunately 3out of our 4night stay was a Luxury Escapes deal which included daily buffet breakfast, evening cocktail & 1 dinner which made it good.
The Hilton Osaka continues to be my favorite hotel! The best thing about the Hilton, is the people who work there! Everyone is so kind, friendly and helpful. They make you feel that you are a guest in their home! The rooms are so comfortable and I love their bathroom amenities from Crabtree & Evelyn. The rooms are clean, spacious, comfortable and well appointed with the guest in mind. The location is the best, right across from Umeda Station (South Central Exit) and is connected to an underground mall which connects you to the major department stores such as Hankyu, Hanshin and Daimaru. It also connects you to the underground subwayJR rail system. One new change is the Executive Lounge which is now located on the 3rd floor. The lounge has been updated with a more expansive menu offering at breakfast and during the evening cocktail hour. The Executive Club Lounge staff continues to provide outstanding service and are so nice. Special mention to the manager, Keiko and team members Nakamura-San, Kawaguchi-San and Kuriyama-San who took very good care of me! I will visit again, hopefully soon! Warmest Aloha, Lawrence K
This was my second stay at Hilton Osaka. Both the services and the breakfast are better than last time. The concierge was busy all the time, they let u wait but they were really helpful. The breakfast has more choice, satisfy both Japanese and Western stomach.
