Hilton Osaka4.5 out of 5.0

After checked in, I immediately regretted that I had never tried to lodge at the hotel (my regular accommodation WAS Osaka Imperial). Staffs are professional and cheerful, and facilities including room and executive lounge are clean and organized. Needless to say, location is perfect. Flawless in every aspect. I will definitely be back soon.
I chose Hilton Osaka due to their convenient location and having a bus stop for buses to Itami Airport. I wasn't expecting much as I'm a Hilton Honors member and I've stayed in other Hiltons often. However, this Hilton has a really friendly and efficient team compared to other Hiltons. The reception and the concierge were very helpful ensuring all my personal requests were met. My room was really spacious and comfortable compared to other business hotels I've stayed in Japan. Dining at Checkers Restaurant was like was dining back in the 80s. The decor, furniture, and artworks were all from the 80s and it brought back of my 80s childhood memories. Although I have to admit their dinner buffet at Checkers Restaurant wasn't impressive, I still enjoyed celebrating my birthday here. I hope they can do a major refurbishment of this property with a more modern 21st-century decor some day. Overall, surprisingly, I actually miss this place and I will be happy to be back here again next trip.
We stayed here for 4 nights. We took JR train from Kansai Airport and alighted at Osaka starion. This hotel is just opposite from the railway station. The checkin was swift. The room size not very big but I understand that all hotel rooms in Japan are small, so could not compare. All other things were ok. The breakfast could have been better. Very small varieties of food. Almost like a budget hotel.
Wonderful, centrally located in Downtown Osaka. This is a great place to stay in Osaka, Japan when you go. It is located near everything you need. Shopping, Metro, train, restaurants and more. Lovely hotel and great service.
Great staff, but louzy buffet at second floor, all restaurants closing at 9.30 p.m., rooms are ok on exectuvive floors, but surely not for a five star hotel. Small executive lounge result over used, noisy.
Ideal location near Osaka Station with underground shopping linking to many upmarket malls and different train lines. Hotel service staffs are friendly, able to speak English, and helpful to provide assistence in filling up Japanese forms for luggage to be sent directly to Tokyo airport in advance.
Stayed one night at the end of our trip and was very happy with this hotel. It is connected by underground to Osaka's main train station and underground system which is very handy for getting around town and also for the train to Kyoto. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to an executive floor and the lounge was pleasant with drinks and snacks in the evening (however, it was very busy and at capacity, I noticed people being turned away so if you want to be sure of access, better go early). The room was of a standard Hilton double size, which equates to a big room compared to some of the other hotels we stayed in Japan. Would definitely stay here again if in Osaka
When you enter Hilton Osaka, you can't help but notice that it must have stood there for a very long time. The 80's-styled entrance and lobby, lifts, and corridors are where its age couldn't hide. But then it would strike you of how clean and well-maintained it is, and I did wonder how they kept the hotel in such a shape after so long. That aside, we picked the hotel for it gives the most convenient access to Umeda and Osaka stations. It is also surrounded by good shopping malls, and we particularly liked the Daimaru where an enormous Tokyu Hands shops is located between a good food on the top and basement levels. The subway got us to downtown Namba in 15 minutes. The hotel has airport limousine bus departing once an hour in the morning and friendly staffs who would get the bus ticket for you. It was a high season when we stayed, and they opened the top level restaurant for breakfast to avoid overcrowding. This is very thoughtful and not every hotel would care so much to prevent breakfast lines. The breakfast itself was delicious, although the choices are just normal. I alternated between Japanese and Western food for the 3 days we stayed there. We stayed in the Executive Suite which is obviously spacious. It was an upgrade from a smaller suite that the Hilton Gold status provided. The room is interestingly fitted with Japanese-style sliding windows in place of curtains, which serves as an appreciated reminder of where we are. The living room occupies most of the suite, isolated from a bedroom that looks like a carbon copy of a normal room's bedroom. The bathroom is disproportionately small, as if looking at a large bird, perhaps a pelican, with a tiny beak. They must have retained the original room partitions when renovating it.
The location of the hotel is fantastic with easy access to Osaka station for train travel. We had a JR rail pass and was very easy to navigate around from this point.Room was large with all mod cons and restaurants in the area were great! Thanks Osaka Hilton
Hilton is known for its great hotels and resorts around the world, this one lives up to the rest. Locations is great for getting around the city being so close to the train and transportation. The location has several eating b and drinking establishments as well as shopping. No need to venture out if you don't care to. There are several restaurants here. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Rooms are large and comfortable. Highly recommended!
