The location was really good, hotel staff was very helpfull and my room was upgraded :-)
The hotel was located at a very convenient location. There were many businesses around and the sightseeing spots were just a couple of blocks away. I took the subway to get there from the KIX airport (after transferring from a train), but the exit I used did not have an elevator, so I had to climb the stairs with my heavy baggage. I stayed in a room with a bed, TV, bathroom. For some reason the window would not open (not sure if they allowed it to be opened). I wanted to open it because it was hot and I prefer the outside breeze instead of using the air conditioner. In any case, everything else in the room was good. Clean, no issues. I did notice that compared to what I am used to, the room is small and a little cramped. I should say I later stayed in a hotel that was even more cramped, so Dormy Inn perhaps was actually more spacious for Japanese standards. There was a convenience store in the ground level. They had a nice public bath (the spa area), where you could take a bath Japanese style. I stayed in a room in one of the top floors. It had a nice view. Overall, I think the hotel is pretty good, clean and neat. The location is good. If my budget allowed it, I would definitely come back.
