As a foreigner in Japan this was a very interesting experience for me. The hotel is inexpensive. The capsule was comfortable, everything was clean and the baths and sauna were great. The hotel is a bit like a dorm. The restrooms are public and you have to be willing to share all common areas (except your capsule) with a bunch of other people. You have to change clothes and shower around other people, too. Most of the signs are in Japanese so you have to guess some things or see what everyone else is doing. You have to leave any suitcase in the front desk and use a narrow locker, where you can fit a small backpack that is not full of stuff. You have to plan your packing wisely so you can put everything you need for the night in the locker. The locker comes with a shirt and shorts you can use as pajamas. They also provide toothbrushes and razors. During the night it is mostly quiet. Everyone is polite and quiet, but people make a bit of noise when they go in or out of their capsules late at night. A couple of people around my capsule were snoring. But overall I had a good night. The location is great, very close to Dotonbori. The breakfast was very good too. When you step into the main lobby coming from outside you have to take off your shoes and put them in a small locker. Don't forget about that! I forgot twice but the staff was polite and friendly all the time. Overall it was a great adventure.
