Double check your reservation
I booked my reservation months in advance and when I showed up to check in I was told they did not have a room available. Although a woman right in front of me added a room as she was checking in and another person came in while I was trying to check in and said they had just booked a room about 10 minutes ago. Turned out that they did have my reservation, they just hadn’t CLEANED enough rooms so rather than having the housekeeping staff stay late or whatever needed to be done they just told me they didn’t have any rooms available.
The manager finally said she would go clean a room for me herself if I could come back in a little while (this was at 7:30 pm). She also said she’d get me a discount due to all of the inconvenience.
The day I was a checking out I asked about the discount. The front desk girl called the owner to ask about it. I was told the owner would call me back. When the owner called me back she kept saying that there was no reservation under my name at all and asked if “I was calling the right hotel”. I told her that I had been standing at the front desk in her hotel when the front desk called her.
Finally the owner said she’d need to talk to the manager and call me the next day. That was 2 days ago and I’ve heard nothing. Guessing I won’t be seeing that discount
