My great business trip at the coast

My business stay was very comfortable. Some of the group stayed in a rental house, they had a bad experience. You will definitely see them at best western plus agate beach inn. the next visit. 😊

The hotel has beautiful views and is a short walk to the beach. The gym is nice and has a Peloton bike. The beds are comfortable, and staff is friendly. I will definitely go back.

Best Western??? Hard to believe this beautiful property is a BW. Have had so many questionable experiences with this chain in the past and am glad we gave this property a chance. I’m a Marriott member and this place proved to be better than many Marriott properties lately. Feel good about opting to stay here - you won’t be disappointed!

A bit spendy yet comfortable

I'm not sure about the food options as we had our own food. I was grateful that the room had a microwave and a refrigerator. The bed was very comfortable. The AC worked well. The front desk was very helpful. The room did smell of dog, though. The parking was a bit tricky. There wasn't any parking on the main level. We weren't informed that when you park on the 5th or 6th floor, you need your room key to get back in from the lot. We did get a late checkout, however, housekeeping wasn't notified so we got an abrupt wake up knock.

When in a room you could not hear noise from other rooms or the hallway. When in the hallway, you could not hear noises form the rooms. The beds and bedding were very nice. The drapes made it possible to darken the room to our liking at night. The fitness center was clean and we made use of it since it was windy and raining outside. Very nice hotel.

Our desk clerk was not very hospitable; however, the restaurant staff were great. Access to the beach was great and there was not a bad view from the place. Gorgeous sunsets!

Service and Cleanliness Need Major Improvement

I recently stayed at the Best Western and had a very mixed experience, with several significant issues that detracted from what could have been a pleasant trip. The problems started right at check-in. The person at the front desk was unfriendly and rude, setting a negative tone from the start. This poor service continued when I checked out; the staff ignored me completely, engrossed in a side conversation and making me feel like an inconvenience. The food options were generally good, but the breakfast was a huge disappointment. It was far more expensive than advertised, and the quality was subpar. The service in the restaurant was also a major letdown. When we tried to ask a waiter for help, she immediately dismissed us with the excuse that she wasn't our waiter. On a positive note, the bed was incredibly comfortable. However, even this was marred by serious cleanliness issues. The blankets had a strong, unpleasant "old person" perfume smell, which made me question if they had been washed since the last guest. To make matters worse, there was a visible stain on the side of the mattress. As soon as I walked into the room, I was hit with a strong, musty odor—like smelly gym shoes—that seemed to be coming from the dirty carpet. While the comfortable bed was a nice surprise and a great view, the lack of cleanliness and the consistently poor service from nearly every staff member I encountered made this a stay I would not recommend.

Staff was super friendly….accommodating as we had our bikes with us after doing the C2C ride. Good was great (we were hungry!)
