Great stay, definitely needs new updated toilets & appliances very old and not up to date, & master bedroom bed is so hard way too firm! Flooring could be replaced, all the rooms I seen this week as far as friends was up to date and had new flooring but overall was great

Great stay, excellent property & location. Not clear about public beach rules in booking details.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The condo was very clean and spacious and we loved the location of the unit being close enough to the pool & beach but with enough space for privacy and access to the green grass area right in front. Two areas of concern are that this is advertised as a 10 person unit but hard to imagine more than 8 people fitting comfortably here. Also, the condo provides private access to the beach but the beach itself is public. Pay close attention to this detail if you want to bring certain types of shade structures to the beach because they enforce that strictly as well as music levels and such. This was a bit disappointing to find out while there and should be made more clear during the booking of the unit.

Late Summer Vacation

My husband and I brought two of our adult children, son-in-law and 18 mo old granddaughter for six nights. We loved the ground floor condo with the lawn in front so our granddaughter could play and run. The condo was exactly as depicted on VRBO. It had all the kitchen items needed, plenty of bathroom towels, comfy couch and good AC (which was great bc it was so hot!). Walk to the beach was easy and we rented umbrellas and chairs so they set us up right in front of our unit for the five days we did the beach. The walk to the pool was basically 30 seconds. Pool was clean, lots of families using it and plenty shade in the afternoon. Perfect end to a day at the beach. I would recommend that the owner purchase mattress toppers for the master bedroom and the bedroom with one queen. I like a firm mattress but it was REALLY firm. Like plywood firm. Queen in third bedroom with the twin had a topper and was very comfortable. The only other thing I would recommend is to update the patio furniture. The Adirondack chairs are very old and uncomfortable. We did bring some folding chairs because we saw pics of the patio furniture. Other than that it was truly a great stay and we hope to book again next year. Thanks for sharing your condo!

I loved the 1st floor location and the living room was very nice. The beds were terrible in all 3 rooms. The springs were poking through the mattress and need to be replaced. The only decent bed was the bedroom that had 2 beds in it and only of those two was comfortable.

Recommendations

Condo was overall nice but really needs new sliding doors, the side door we are allowed to use has locking issues and was VERY hard to get locked and very concerning that it would stay locked when we were away. Living area is plenty big for more seating was unable to have enough seats for the family to set comfortably and watch a movie, two comfy chairs or a loveseat would have been perfect but overall you have a beautiful view and great accommodations.

Our stay was overall good. Having the walk out open area was so nice! We brought lots of outdoor games/balls to play each night! Our unit did not have much with it in terms of kitchen items. We ended up having to purchase things we consider basic. The large hot tub was nice but having to cross the parking lot to get to it was a down fall. Overall we had a great week!

Very nice except…

Overall it is a very nice place. Strangely you can’t access the patio/yard by the sliding door that faces it. You have to go out the side door and around. This is inconvenient because obviously it’s a few more steps, but also because that means you want to leave that side curtain open and there are people walking by there all the time because you’re on the end. I would rather leave that curtain closed so that people can’t see inside the unit. And I certainly think you ought to be able to access your patio by the door that is attached to the patio. Literally, that’s pretty much my only complaint, though, as everything else was good. Loved being on the ground floor and the location is perfect. Maybe could use a mattress topper to soften a couple of the beds. But we slept well regardless.

Corner condo

We enjoyed our stay but it had a few things we didn’t like. TVs does not work right with remotes had to use living remote room to turn on tv in master bedroom every time. Did not like the fact that you couldn’t use patio door to go on patio. Had to go out side door to get to patio. Has to many doors. Couldn’t open curtains for thinking everybody going to beach could see you. The master room door does not lock. They have pvc piping to put in doorway to lock it. There is mold in master bathroom on shower liner. We love to stay at summerhouse but next time it will not be that room. But Alabamagetaway is easy to work with and they answered quickly.

Needs some work

Place was nice but had water leaking from the ceiling around a light fixture continuously to the floor and management didn’t responded. Plus being next to the walk way for this unit is very noisy needs a better privacy fence to cut down on the noise.
