Small and Outdated with a Nice View
The condo was clean. However, we did have one large roach in our condo. The kitchen/laundry area is very small as well as the master shower. The shower isn’t much bigger than my camper shower. The light cover in the master bath had fallen and was in the toilet when we arrived. The bedrooms were warm/hot especially the master bedroom. The second bedroom was warm as well and needs a fan to circulate the air. The bathtub in the guest bathroom does not drain well at all. If you take a shower, the tub fills up and takes over an hour to fully drain. The oven burners are bent and hard to cook on. The decor as well as the furniture in the bedrooms is very outdated and looks cheap. The rocking chair in the living room is broken as well. For the price of the condo I would expect better. The best thing about the condo was the view of the beach. Only one elevator was working during our stay and it was a long way from our room. This place used to be one of our favorite places to stay, but it needs updating and the beach is way too crowded now that they built the two Phoenix towers next door. This was our 6th time staying at Sugar Sands, but will probably not be returning because we can get a more updated condo for the same price or less. Everything that was hung on the walls for decorations looked very old, faded, and cheap. I know this is rental property and you don’t want expensive stuff in it, but you still can make it look nice, welcoming, and more up to date.
