As usual, the hospitality at the Sullivan Court is excellent. Even though they were full up with group bookings, the staff were all there to help out with anything we needed. Thank you Vinoth for everything!
We were a bunch of 40 odd people meeting for a school reunion. The hotel is a nice place with a small gym, children's area, spa and dining rooms. All of that is good but where it really stands out is in service. The staff is extremely well trained, pleasant and ready to help at any time. My son vomited in the middle of the night and not even by a single expression could i say that the staff was annoyed or put off. Similarly, special requests for food were also handled nicely. The breakfast buffet actually had soaked almonds and methi daana! great little touches. the rooms have nice views. My room had some mysterious water leakage problem but because of the service i did not get as pissed off as i would have otherwise. :)
The hotel is located bit away from the city and that what makes it different. Situated in the hills, Sullivan court is beautiful. The rooms were spacious enough but proper lighting I felt was necessary because sometimes it looked dull. Bathrooms need renovation. Apart from these the hotel staffs were courteous. Impressive breakfast and dinner with many options to choose from, though the taste of food was okay.
Well situated as the main market is very near. Rooms were ok, not properly maintained though for a 4 star. Nice view from rooms. Breakfast had a good spread. However the a la carte menu is very very expensive. A puri bhaji costing 280 inr, non veg biryani costing 725 inr.. quite an expensive hotel but maybe the best one in Ooty centre. As there are no other good options
Nice location and hospitality was good. It is old property and needs better renovation, especially washrooms. WiFi was not working during my stay. Restaurant food was ok. (Not that much delicious ). But u can find many good restaurants nearby. Climate control was not available. (One table heater was there but it was not that effective.)
Seamless check-in and check-out. Very attentive and courteous staff. Sumptuous breakfast. Located in the centre of the city, which also means you are missing out on the beautiful Ooty hill views. The hotel premises themselves are very pretty. Wish Google Maps showed correct driving directions. Wifi was not working when we went.
I had sent my parents for a Vacation and booked the best room so called suite... At the time of check in ..they first gave standard room .. trying to cheat them... Than after conversation they were given a room with the view of Parking where Drivers sleep ... means that's the Suite. Than next day morning they ask them to check out saying that .... they have paid for standard room ... well that was also all cheating ... which can be proved ...than told them some local politician came there and we have to give him the room ..for that they will compensate the food part to change the room. The Management has cheated them by not also returning the money of what they had booked .... Fortune Group please take strict action against these bunch of people cheating on ur name which clearly affects your goodwill Refund all money of the Suite room .. what they had paid
Stayed for two nights with family in the month of June 2017. In short this hotel is centrally located, very well maintained, has small cozy rooms/bathrooms, limited dining options and is slightly over priced considering value for money. For details refer read in detail Booking Did the booking thru booking.com and thus got confirmation calls from the hotel 2 days prior to check-in. One of the plus point for this hotel is, its centrally located and is near to Commercial street, rose garden and botanical garden. Navigation Finding this hotel thru google maps can get a little tricky as the hotel is not correctly mapped and you might end up taking the wrong route and even then you will end up no way near to the hotel entrance. As the hotel is located near the famous Rose Garden, I'll recommend folks to enter their destination as Rose garden in order to avoid without any detours. Checkin/Checkout We pretty much sailed thru during our check-in and check-out, no hassles there but one thing that took me off was that this hotel charges guests for lost keys', so please make sure to take good care of the key and otherwise be ready to pay for it. Stay Since it's a vintage property, the rooms and bathrooms are not quite spacious, but they are still comfortable, neat and clean Please keep in mind that the standard rooms don't have AC, in case you need one with AC please check with the hotel once before you book. The hotel provides Biotique Body Lotion and Toiletries. I was impressed with their room service, they were pretty quick to turn around our requests. Additionally, the hotel provides 2 liters of bottled water (Aquafina) everyday complimentary but I would recommend the hotel to stop this practice as this results in generation of a lot of plastic waste, Instead I would recommend the hotel to provide guests re-fills of RO water in Glass bottles. this way hotel can contribute towards the environment. Food Only one main restaurant "PAVILION" at the hotel, offers buffet breakfast breakfast, lunch and dinner. The options provided in breakfast and dinner are decent. If you are visiting the hotel in busy season be ready for a waiting during breakfast. I found their service to be poor during breakfast on one of the day (27 June) as all the items had finished by 9:30 and refills were taking more time than expected, I think they were not expecting all guests to eat breakfast. The hotel allows its guests to order food from outside, so you can get food of your choice delivered to the hotel and collect it from the main gate. Property Overall the hotel was very well maintained, it has lush green and well maintained gardens and they also have space for bon fire, which we couldn't use as we visited during the monsoon. They have options for games such as Billiards, Snooker, Carom, Chess, Table Tennis and Softball Cricket. As we only played TT, I would recommend the hotel to buy new racquets. Internet The hotel claims to have high speed internet, but please beware you wont get a WIFI connection in your rooms esp on third floor, so all of us ended up using 4G services of mobile operator, as that worked 100 times better than their so claimed hi speed internet. Overall our stay was comfortable and I would recommend folks to stay here.
The hotel is not so grand, but have nice cozy room, a Gym, Open garden, Kids play area, Recreation room, a restaurant and a bar. The decor of hotel is perfect for a mid size property, gives a feeling of old wooden style interior. Rooms are good but very small in size, its even impossible to fit an extra bed. Location is good just 5 minutes walk from rose garden and the main market. Breakfast spread is superb except the taste ( not very Indian kind of Taste ). It might be one of the best Hotel in the region. Had a good Stay.
Me and my brother's family (4 members each) stayed in this hotel in June2017. We booked 2 standard rooms. All the staff members (security guards, housekeeping, cafetaria, front office) were very competent in their work and provided great hospitality. Specially like to mention Chef Raja who is not only amazing chef but also great host. Hotel has maintained lush green and colorful gardens, play area which gives a very refreshing feeling. Live piano further added to the pleasure. Only area of improvement is the bathrooms which are very small by any standards and needs renovation.
