We had the BEST time staying here in Ocracoke! The house was absolutely spotless, and we were so impressed with how clean and well-maintained everything was. We didn’t see a single bug the entire stay, which was amazing! The location was perfect — tucked away on a super quiet dead-end gravel road, but still so close to the coffee shop and everything else we wanted to get to. The huge front porch was one of our favorite parts of the house. It was the perfect place to sit, relax, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The house was also incredibly comfortable. The AC worked so well, the linens were clean and fresh, and there were plenty of fresh towels for our entire group. The WiFi worked perfectly throughout our stay, too.Everything was just easy and comfortable from start to finish, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We had such a great Ocracoke trip and would absolutely stay here again! Highly recommend!

October 2016 Stay

We loved our few days at Fresh Fruit which were unfortunately cut short due to the evacuation order for Hurricane Matthew. It's a warm and welcoming home on a quiet dead-end street. Love the location and the screened porch swing. Two areas needing improvement are the interior lighting in the living spaces and the beds. The lamps need bettering I quality bulbs with greater light output so one can read comfortably in he evening's. The beds are extra firm, which we found uncomfortable for a good night's rest. When it's time to replace the mattresses, please consider the Hilton mattresses; https://www.hiltontohome.com/product.aspx?Mattress-Box-Spring. My husband travels extensively and frequently stays in Hilton properties. Although the two of us prefer different levels of mattress firmness, we both love the Hilton beds and sleep well on them.
