Welcome to Birds of a Feather beach house situated in Strand neighborhood of Oceano. Winner of the Best Oceano Vacation Rental 7 years in a row!This large 4-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home that can accommodate up to 16 people. Located only 32 steps to the sand, 3 miles south of Pismo State Beach and walking distance to restaurants, shops, hiking trails, and all there is to the beach bum lifestyle. With easy access to the Oceano Dunes you can experience ATV rides, sunset bonfires or horseback riding with the family or friends for a day of fun in the sun. Come back home and enjoy the multiple entertaining areas in and outdoors, play a game of foosball or ping pong, or sit back and watch the sunset. Grab a paperbook from the house's library and enjoy a quiet evening on one of the two balconies. The fully equipped kitchen includes a 5 burner stove, dishwasher, and wine cooler. Perfect for preparing meals for the whole gang! Every bedroom has a TV with cable, so you can unwind while watching your favorite shows or movies.

This area is among the most popular and unique of California State Parks. The 5 1/2 miles of beach open for vehicle use and the sand dunes available for off highway motor vehicle recreation are attractions for visitors from throughout the United States. Oceano Dunes is the only California State Park where vehicles may be driven on the beach. Four wheel drive / all wheel drive vehicles are recommended for driving on the beach and to the camping and off-highway vehicle use areas in the park. Beach wheelchairs are available for loan at the Pier and Grand Avenue entrances to the beach. Surfing, swimming, surf fishing, horseback riding and bird watching are popular activities. Just a few miles up the coast you'll find more activities like kayaking, cycling, wake boarding, board walking, wine tasting an so much more! Also close to restaurants, shopping and medical attention.

Nice spot by the beach

Had a great time at the birds of a feather beach house. The weather didn't cooperate very well but we had a good time, nonetheless. The stairs were a little rough on older knees, but they didn't bother the grandkids one bit!

Bako's Beauties Hit the Beach

Twelve girlfriends from Bakersfield had a wonderful time at the Birdhouse. Plenty of room and a great location. They aren't joking when they say 34 steps to the sand. Get ready to have some fun if you stay here.

First time renter. With 2 groups to deal with it was very frustrating at times. Our actual time at the house was great. It was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans, linens, etc. Location to beach was great. BBQ is in very bad need of a good cleaning. Grease in the bottom flared up and was very dangerous. We had a great time.

Wedding weekend by the beach

Loved it all. Used all the bedrooms and even Harry Potter‘s corner. Was a great location, everything we needed, the only thing we didn’t find is the ball for the foosball. Everything else was perfect! We would definitely do it again if we had a Big family weekend event. The wedding was at The White barn… So close and easy to get to.

The location was excellent for our family of 16 house was spacious and it came with everything

The house was in a great location and it came with everything to accommodate 16 people .It was spacious with plenty of open area to visit inside and outside . The beds were super comfortable , plenty of towels and plenty of dishes and cook wear for cooking for a large group . My only concern was with the staircase railing was wide enough for small child to fit through the slats need to be closer . We had an amazing trip that we will never forget. Memories made here will last a lifetime.

Clean, spacious and steps away from beach!

Our family of 16 celebrated my daughter's graduation weekend and had a wonderful time! Plenty of room to accommodate 16 teens and adults, a few steps away from beach and very close to restaurants and beach activities. They enjoyed the nightly walks to the beach to watch the sunset. Highly recommend for a family getaway!

Multi-family Thanksgiving and anniversary gathering that had room for all 15 of us to gather and enjoy each other’s company. The weather was optimal, and the house was cozy, with multiple outside areas to also enjoy.

Great location

We rented this house for a family vacation and had 15 adults & children staying here. It was a great location to walk to the beach, the house was clean, and using the futons in the living room we were all able to sleep on beds. The gals in the office for key pick up were super nice & the office dog was an added bonus!

Great for a beach vacation

Home was very clean and spacious for our family group. The best part was the closeness of the beach. It is a short 30 second walk, and the expansive beaches of Oceano. Families and kids had a great time bodyboarding and enjoying the sand and sun. There is a market within walking distance and Mexican restaurant a 5 min walk away. Would love to come back in the future.

Family Reunion

We had a great time in Oceano. The house was perfect for our family. The house was clean and ready for our family. The location was perfect. The only issue that I had was that the trash bin outside was already half full so with a family of 16 it was hard not to have trash over the 4 day that we spent there.
