A bit scary. Not a very safe feeling. Ok location.

Great, friendly staff. Currently under renovation. Should be much nicer by July.

The worst hotel I have ever seen (notice I didn't say "stayed in")...I couldn't stay in this place after checking in!! My skin felt dirty and I felt like I was breathing mold!! 5 or 10 minutes in the room and I left. It was like a third-world flop house!! Old mattresses and ripped out carpet on the hallways / balcony. I also felt it would be unsafe to stay there, if I could stomach the room. I contacted Orbitz to request a refund and evidently the hotel has to approve a refund....I told the Orbitz customer service representative, "that will never happen"!! I found a nice Hilton two exits south and was happy to be safe and clean!! I have located some nice hotel deals on Orbitz, but this isn't one and I will be reluctant to even use Orbitz in the future....it was that bad!!! The beds were nasty, the bathroom was disgusting, need I continue? The grounds were trashy and in a mostly economically deteriorated I-75 intersection....keep driving to another nearby (south in my case) intersection.

The Golden Palms Inn is a reasonably-priced hotel in Ocala. The location is just off I-75, making it convenient. Maid service was very good. A comfortable stay.

Paid for room and lost my money. When I showed up at the hotel they didn't have a room ready for me. No empathy, no apologies. No options offered.

It was ok, but not clean...spots all over the carpet and bedding. Black hairs on the shower walls. Will not be staying here again. No continental breakfast, either. We wont be back.

If you have a car, it's a great location even if a little difficult to get to from the highway. The front desk is very helpful in every respect: getting the right handicapped room, getting directions with the mapquest printouts, suggestions for local grocery stores, etc. Overall, very good value for your money.

Stayed overnight for an interview in the area. Front staff was very polite and gave me a free upgrade when I said I needed a microwave. Room had cozy electric fireplace. Area around doesn't have much for sightseeing but hotel was accommodating. Wish they had free breakfast then it would be perfect. :)

For the money paid, it was actually quite good. Entering the grounds from the main road was a bit of a challenge as the driveway is not clearly delineated; double that at night (getting off I-75 you have to pass the hotel quite a ways & then attempt to U-turn on a busy at times highway #27.

For an inexpensive place to stay short term, this location serves very well.

I checked in at 3: 30 PM and immediately turned the air condtion on. Went to dinner and returned at 8 PM to allow room to cool. It was the worse stay I ever had. Room did not go lower than 85 degrees. Complained, but no resolution. I will never pay for a room in advance since I would not have paid for this terrible experience. Raymond J Haigney

The hotel is okay they have some good rooms if you want to upgrade your stay. The downfall was that we checked in around 3pm and this is the first time that I have check into a hotel and when you walk into the room the AC is completely off really, this is Florida and 96 degree weather. It actually took until 11pm for the room to get to a comfortable temperature.

The hotel check in and everything went fine. The night was going fine until about 11PM when everything next door that a couple was doing could be heard and the other couple in the room to the other side. Around 1AM, I had to get some sleep, so I had to turn the tv up rather loud to drown out the disturbing noises. Sorry, never again.

We loved our stay at the Golden Palms. We did splurge for the suit and it was worth it. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom and tub were clean, and the ambiance was nice. The location was great too- we did a pub crawl in down town Ocala that evening, but also it is close to shopping and local parks as well. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, and we would definitely stay again.

Receptionest was great. My reservation was not available. not they fault. Room definately needs some attention. New towels, furniture painting. pretty small television. cob web in room. Place has potential, but definately needs a tace lift.

this hotel was scarey, back windows boarded up with wood, scarey individuals standing outside of hotel. room was filthy, furniture was stained and old, not as advertised. did not stay, left and went around the corner to a different hotel
