We stayed at Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit for a New Year’s Eve trip and were very disappointed. Aside from friendly staff and a decent NYE event, this resort falls far below expectations. Check-in was late, the upgraded “ocean view” we never got was mostly palm trees and condos, and the room was old and poorly maintained, broken fixtures, no bathroom privacy (no doors: shower straight into the room), leaking tub, missing door locks, and a balcony door with no lock. Housekeeping was unreliable, and the minibar stopped being restocked after day three unless requested. Room service didn’t work since our phone didn’t work (went down to the lobby to order and food never came), food quality was poor, and the resort is severely understaffed. Restaurant waits exceeded an hour with no staff available to even address large lines, towels and beach chairs were often unavailable or filthy, and for most of our stay only one elevator worked. Cabanas are not worth the upcharge, dirty, soaked bedding and no service came during our 6hr stay there despite being advertised as bar service. The property feels unmanaged, with non-guests freely accessing the resort from the public beach. We’ve stayed at many resorts in Riviera Nayarit and Mexico, and this was the worst experience, by a long shot. We do not understand how this resort has 8 out of 10 on the ratings nor how it can be called a “luxury resort”. Spend your money elsewhere.

We visited from Dec 30th to Jan 1st. Most of the staff was courteous and eager to be of service. Special recognition to Ildahir at the beach, who truly goes above and beyond. The resort seemed a little understaffed, probably due to the holiday dates. The NYE party was a blast! I have to say the hotel doesn’t entirely feel like a beach resort, mainly because facilities are shared with an apartment complex; therefore, pool service is almost nonexistent at the two pools closest to the beach. We waited almost two hours to be seated at the Steakhouse. Ordered a Rib-Eye and a New York Strip, but both were dry and tough as shoe leather. Also, the hostess was somewhat rude (understandable, given the complaints from guests waiting so long). We reserved a Fiesta Club room and received only a few perks compared to other Club levels at similar hotels. A few inexpensive changes I would recommend to improve the customer experience: - Reserved beach and pool chairs, cushioned, for Club guests - Beach towel stations closer to the beach - More waiters at the beach and pool - Pagers for restaurants, so guests don’t have to wait at the door - More beach chairs (there's an entire unused area at the beach) - Since we all use bracelets, waiters and bartenders could offer premium liquor to Club-level guests

My experience with the whole group, staff was great. I want to mention special kudos to Mario manager on duty most of the time when I needed to certain things as I travel quite a bit, he came through every time and can't thank him enough for the personalized service, but I will say the rest of the staff was great to me as well all in all the very Surprisingly great experience

While our stay didn’t start off smoothly, it ended on a high note because of Mario, the Hotel Duty Manager at Fiesta Americana. Due to an issue with water on the floor, we had to switch rooms multiple times, which was understandably frustrating. However, Mario stepped in and completely changed the tone of our experience. He was attentive, calm, professional, and genuinely empathetic. He listened, took ownership, and made sure the situation was handled with care and urgency. What could have been a negative experience was transformed into a positive one because of his leadership and commitment to guest satisfaction. Excellent service, the staff are great. The drinks were always great. Our room was very clean and spotless everyday. Only complaint is the breakfast could have a bit more variety and longer waits for dinner occasionally. We would definitely come back

Limited dining, and when I did eat, the food was subpar. I did not have a single good meal in 3 days. It seemed they used the cheapest food available. I wish there were a Pizza stand. Check-in took almost 15 minutes. Check-out took about the same. When I got to my room, the a/c was not cooling sufficiently. I reported this to the front desk, and it was repaired quickly.

The staff was very nice however I did not appreciate maintenance storming into my room with their own key card and not knocking either, to greet me in my underwear and bra. Hoping that being 72 it damaged his eyes for life.:) I did not appreciate watching my specially made dish being brought and place on 3 different tables in front of 3 different breathing on it people before being brought to me. Otherwise normal average food not over the top and not consistent or made the same way each day. Will never go back! Some venues were closed ( games room and commercial market store) and the restaurants are not open every night they rotate them.

This was a horrible experience and hands down the worst resort I have ever stayed at. Fiesta Americana in Puerto Vallarta is dirty, outdated, and extremely poorly maintained. There was a couch left in a main walkway with worn, torn cushions and exposed padding. Our first room had a jacuzzi on the balcony that was filthy with a visible grease ring inside. The closet door would not stay shut, there was barely any hot water anywhere in the room, and all water fixtures throughout the room were loose, splashy, outdated, and barely functional. We documented everything with photos and brought our concerns to management, who moved us to another room. Unfortunately, the second room was even worse. When we tried to use the bathtub, brown water came out of the faucet, and after draining it, the tub leaked water directly into the sleeping area. The gym is a complete joke! Nearly all machines are broken and unusable, forcing us to leave the resort daily and pay out of pocket for another gym as well as for transportation. The food is also a disappointment, with only one tiny buffet for the entire resort, leading to ridiculous wait times STANDING just to get in, and an extremely limited selection consisting mostly of fruits and vegetables prepared in different ways. This place is absolutely not worth the money, and I would not recommend it to anyone not even my worst enemy.

Hotel does not have a business center computer available for guest use. I had an issue with my phone and needed to access my email to receive a code. Not one computer available due to staff member. I had to go into town to a media center and rent computer time. Eventually I was able to re start my phone without help from hotel
