Excellent property and great staff, a beautiful clean room with a terrific AC . Staff members were terrific. Breakfast was very good , you can order omelettes. There's no elevator so if you stay only 1 night just grab what you need from your car . The property is at the beach (2-3 min walking ) and we loved it.

The property owner is very kind and friendly. We didn’t spend much time in this city so we have nothing to compare this hotel to, but we wouldn’t stay here again. Only one of the two bedrooms had air conditioning; the room without AC didn’t even have a fan and had no screens on the window so it could be kept open to allow a breeze without insects. Bedding was just thin sheets, no proper blankets or covers. The door could only be locked or unlocked from the inside with the key and there was only one key, creating a safety concern for egress in case of emergency. The bathroom was cleaned, but had an odd smell coming from the floor drain when the water was running. Overall, felt like staying in a private room at a hostel, but with a bigger price tag.

Good stop-over

This small hotel is located right by the sea so you can get very nice sea views from rooms at the back. It was very hard to find the car park as it is inaccessible from the main road and the road at the rear is one-way and quite tricky to find. Room was OK for the price. Receptionist very helpful and friendly. Breakfast on terrace at rear overlooking the sea very pleasant and decent selection.

Room With A View. Breakfast With An Omelette.

We were traveling north from Pag and decided to stay 1 night in Novi Vinodolski at Hotel Ruža. Before I begin, I MUST say that our GPS was VERY "confused" finding the Hotel's access, so be forewarned; the Hotel building can be SEEN from the main road, but the access road is BEHIND the building (between the building and the beach), and the access road is entered approximately 1,000 feet or so down the main road from the building. There is convenient free parking alongside the Hotel, on the beach side. Once we reached the "Reception", everything was easy. Our host was EXTREMELY friendly, and we had a couple of "rousing" conversations. Our host led us to our room, and we were pleased to have a patio-sized "balcony" with a view of the Adriatic. The room was clean and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was good. In the morning, we enjoyed a tasty buffet breakfast with a "Croatian Omelette" containing regional ham. The Hotel is a few steps from the beach, with a view of an historic island just offshore.

Super hotel. It seems like an undiscovered gem.

We LOVED Hotel Ruza. The rooms were very clean, very comfortable, with a good shower, and affordable to boot. There is a small walkway to the lovely seaside. Breakfast was fantastic -- eggs to order, plus a buffet of fresh items. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed talking with them. I wish we'd had another day to explore the area more. There is a church on a little island just offshore. It would be fun to row/swim to it for a visit. Our stay at Hotel Ruza was perfect. We had 3 rooms (5 of us, visiting at the end of September 2017).
