Staff and facilities were lovely and pleasant. Technology in room was a novelty. However, making Coffee old school brings you back to earth. Was great atmosphere and environment for a business weekend.
Nice place in the centre of Devonport, close to shops and restaurants. Nice rooms, the bed and pillows are very comfortable, and the staff is helpful. Parking is also available at the front of the hotel.
Submitted an email on Sunday requesting feedback on why they would let out the room which had the toilet lid detached from the seat. No response. Received email on Tuesday requesting me to complete Customer Survey!!
We stayed one night at this hotel. It’s centrally located in the city. We had an executive room which had a king bed but very little space otherwise. The bathroom had a shower in the bath. The continental breakfast included was good - cereal & toast.
Really lovely place to stay with wonderful old world charm. The rooms are extremely spacious and look like they have recently been renovated. The bathrooms are modern and clean. Parking is easy and unlike most other places. "free." The location is within easy walk to the Mall and the town center. The restaurant has a great selection of good food. I was travelling alone, which is something I don't do often. Yet I felt very safe and welcomed.
Have been staying here for the last 12 months for business trips. The staff are always nice and friendly, the rooms are clean and good. The spa rooms on level 4 are the best along with a great view of the water.
Booked this Hotel as it was rated the highly in Devonport. Rooms small but relatively clean & tidy. Did ask when booking if we could have a spa room which them must have forgotten about. Friendly staff & chef working in the restaurant.
Very clean and convenienty located hotel. Good size room with fantastic blinds & block out curtains. Bathroom was very clean and room was well serviced daily. Great housekeeping staff! Would highly recommend this hotel to my family, friends & business colleagues. Will definitely stay here again.
Room, service and meals all very good. Staff were helpful and efficient. The ky card system for the lift and room was a great frustration. I had to have my room key recalibrated at least once each day and three times on one particular day. Staff explained that the card's magnetic stripe was overridden by my mobile phone or other cards. I don't think so. My guess is that the system is faulty. If so, please get it fixed because it is a significant issue. Otherwise, congratulations to all.
The room we had originally booked was a hotel, The Formby - booked by mistake, which was unsuitable to us. Through a recommendation from the staff at the Formby as well as booking.com we were advised to try the Gateway. As practically the last room available in the city we were grateful for somewhere to stay after coming off the Spirit of Tasmania after nine hours. as well as several hours of travel.
