We had to stay here because our flight was cancelled last minute and they had availability and they are close to the airport. I was able to get a room, nothing spectacular. The air conditioning system was very loud, so it took me a while to go to sleep.
Service was outstanding regarding attention to detail and considering there were 40 people in my party and the hotel was pretty full. Housekeeping needs a bit of improvement. It must be said our breakfast was really good. I read about the hot water problem in other reviews and the problem turns out to be that there is a mislabeling issue, cold water comes out where it is supposed to be hot and vice versa. Staff was really nice and welcoming.
Stinking rooms, broken showers, everything very very bad. This hotel needs an renovation very badly ! Do not stay even if for free. Highly disappointed ! My room was changed three times but all rooms are same. The shower had no cold water running. Only hot boiling water ! Nobody picks phone in night at reception, house keeping ! They took more than one hour to change room. Not even worth one star ! Surprising for an Crowne plaza brand !
Smaller than most Crowne Plazas I have been too, overall okay. Restaurant lobby is quite small but had a good buffet breakfast albeit can get monotonous after a couple of days. Adjacent small lobby bar as well. Service staff is very amicable and quite friendly. Location is overall good but can get rather dark and lonely in the immediate area of the hotel.
The room and the staff is great; breakfast if very good, is a typical Crowne Plaza Hotel but the surroundings of the Hotel in not that nice to walk outside to many homeless, prostitutes due to dark streets
Good option in San Pedro Sula. We need a safe, clean and comfortable environment for a group of 11 before out flight home and this was an excellent choice for those purposes. The bed was great and rooms were clean and well appointed. Food in the restaurants was good as well so yes we would stay again.
I booked a room through a third party site and it gave me the option of choosing a double or a single with a king bed. Since it was just me I opted for the king. When I checked in and went to my room, I noticed it was a double so I called front desk and told them they had given me a wrong room. The receptionist had a little bit of an attitude and told me the reservation was non descriptive and all king beds were booked. She said she was sorry but, come on, I don't think she meant it. Oh well, I lived. I wondered, though, what would happen if it had been the other way around - what if I was travelling with someone and really needed a double and got a king instead? The facilities are great - awesome pool, new swanky gym. The beds are not the best and the print jobs on the elevator doors are comically awful (who approved them?). What really disappointed me was the service. I was at the pool and had friends come over to visit me and one of them got stopped by the front desk lady. He told her he was going up to see me in the pool area and she told him he had to pay to do so. He wasn't going to go into the pool, he was just going to see me. My friend called me and told me what was happening, so I called the lobby and had to assure them that, no, the guy was not going to go into the pool. I believe she could have handled the situation much more diplomatically. She treated both of us like we were some douches who wanted to get away with something. Better manners are needed. In a city as dangerous as San Pedro Sula, not everyone is a criminal and shouldn't be treated as such. Which brings me to another important point: why would you stop offering room service at 11:00 pm? The food there isn't the best, plus it's really expensive and takes over 25 minutes, whether you ordered seafood pasta or a club sandwich (I had both and they both took forever and were nothing to call home about). You don't want to be walking long distances in San Pedro Sula because. it. is. DANGEROUS. I asked front desk where I could get a bite to eat late at night and they pointed to a 24-hour Denny's two blocks away. But after seeing 3 or 4 prostitutes standing on the corner right next to the hotel I didn't feel the neighborhood was particularly safe! Get stabbed or mugged while looking for a bland burger? No, thank you! It wouldn't matter if they offered limited options or that the food isn't the best, but at least offer SOME kind of service between 11 pm and 6 am. The Crowne has potential but, in the meantime, make sure you pack some snacks and meet visitors in the lobby to avoid all these inconveniences.
This is a good hotel, upper levels are very nice (executive floors). Restaurant is OK, bar is good, good breakfast buffet too. The service is very good. The hotel is close to many restaurants, boutiques, mall..
Not what I was expecting from this hotel,,,customer service is horrible,,they shouldn't be in business.....starting with the security guard....ending with the front desk services....no one cares about business....
We came here early in the morning after a night of no sleep. We rraquested early checkin, the hilton did not provide it, this one did. The rooms were not ready, resulting in us losing even more much needed sleep. When I went in the shower and wanted to rinse my hair after Washing, it turned really hot. Upon trying to adjust the temperature, the thing broke and I got no more water out of it. I had to rinse my hair in the sink, like in a bad movie. I asked them to fix it while I was away but that never happened. Will not come back.
