The Lookout is nestled in the serene Dorcas Bay community, a stone's throw from the pristine sands of Singing Sands Provincial Park—a locale celebrated for its inviting warmer waters, perfect for swimming and a plethora of recreational activities. Yet, what sets The Lookout apart is its proximity to the marvels of Bruce Peninsula National Park and the enchanting Grotto, offering an escape closer to these natural wonders than the quaint harbor village of Tobermory itself.
Tobermory, a gem on the Bruce Peninsula, is renowned for its vibrant harbor, Bruce Trail footpaths along the rugged Niagara Escarpment, and the mesmerizing Grotto in Georgian Bay. Adjacent to this is the Fathom Five National Marine Park, famed for its historic lighthouses, Flowerpot Island's iconic sea stacks, and a treasure trove of shipwreck dive sites.
In honoring the land on which we gather and explore, we recognize the traditional Territory of the Anishinabek Nation: The People of the Three Fires known as Ojibway, Odawa, and Pottawatomie Nations. We extend our gratitude to the Chippewas of Saugeen, and the Chippewas of Nawash, now known as the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, as the traditional custodians of this land.
The Lookout offers not just a retreat but a doorway to discovery—where the wonders of the Bruce Peninsula are within easy reach, inviting guests to immerse themselves in the area's rich natural beauty and the vibrant community life of Tobermory.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
We loved being so close to the town of tobermory as well as singing sands and the grotto! Thanks for allowing to stay!
Our two night stay was great and relaxing. Just what we needed and had everything we needed. Area was quiet and private. Recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing time.
My family and I stayed at this cottage for 2 day and loved every minute of it. The place was very clean, secluded, quiet, and had that old cottage feel to it. The back yard lead out into the lake where the property had a canoe that we spent a lot of in rowing around the lake. Overall it was a good experience and would highly recommend it.
The house itself was nice and the property had a beautiful setting, backing onto the lake with a lovely sandy walkout beach. That said, the property could use a little TLC. It was clear that the photos from the listing were taken a few years ago, as things are more worn now than they appeared online. The most disappointing issue was that the fridge wasn’t working properly, and unfortunately we didn’t realize until it was too late.

Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
The cottage was not cleaned and ready at check-in time. The place did not have wifi service and enquires about it were ignored.
