Tobermory Bruce Peninsula Beautiful Cottage

The house is located in Tobermory. Only 3 km to the ferry for Flowerpot Island. 2 km to Bruce Peninsula National Park. Kitchen paper towels are no longer provided because of too much waste. Booking within two days, please confirm with cleaning availability first. Bruce County Fire Chiefs have declared a Total Fire Ban on Open-Air Burning including Campfires.
The cottage is heated and features a kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, and a patio. There's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms and a dining area. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Traveled with family
The location of the property was great, very close to all the main attractions in Tobermory. However given the pricey cost for 3 night rental my family and I were expecting a high end stay unfortunately this was not the case. The interior of the home had lots of wear and tear. Washroom doors would not close properly. Furniture was aged and worn. The exterior landscaping was very poorly maintained, weeds, shrubs, greenery running wild on property. Also we had to take our garbage to an external remote waste dump site. When we got there it was closed. Luckily we bumped into a local resident at the site and he offered to take our garbage and recycling to his home. No mention of hours of operation on info sheet in home. It’s a shame the owner would expect out of town guests to dump their garbage at a remote site, versus tying it neatly for owner to dispose. Communication instructions were poor, no info received on how to access place. Had to call owner when my family and I arrived to get access code. I would not book again if the cost was so high.

Not a top choice

Entry door deadbolt w/ keypad to get in house was not functional. Property owner knew this and did not notify us. We were locked out and could not get in. Poor security for renters. No a/c which may be normal for this region. It was okay for our stay but past rentals on vacation typically are better equipped and more special / memorable.
