We stayed for 2 nights at the Quest. Good sized room with kitchenette. Plenty of pots and pans, plates, cutlery etc. We did cook a meal to eat in using the microwave and 2 ringed cooker. Worked well ... shame there was no table or similar to use for eating at. No communal facilities ie no bar or restaurant. Parking used the car park across the road - $5 per night and $2 per hour during the day. Staff at reception were v helpful and friendly. Central location. Definitely a good place to stay if you don’t need all the usual hotel facilities.
Very run down and expensive for quality. Very musty closed in smell when you arrive. AC so noisy it kept us awake. Staff kindly moved us but the AC in new room made same noises!! Looks like it needs a good makeover. Only 1 10 minute carpark at front to unload and someone seemed to park there permanently!!
My daughter and I planned to walk the "Overland Track" in Tassie from Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair. As we flew in and out of Launceston, we found the Quest Apartments were an excellent pre and post walk stay, close to our transport pickup, with good laundry facilities, and convenient to central Launceston.
We stayed in a two bedroom apartment (one bedroom apartment plus adjoining room). The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with laundry facilities. It was nice to have fresh milk in the fridge. There is no restaurant on site, but the café downstairs has an excellent breakfast selection, and there are a number of restaurants in easy walking distance. The rooms could do with a bit of maintenance: the fan in the bathroom was very loud, and the airconditioner in the children's room went "clunk" every couple of minutes - luckily it didn't bother them but would have kept me awake.
Thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay. Room and beds were very comfortable and clean, the reception and check-in process was smooth and friendly too. The premises are close to shopping and the centre of town, which is really convenient.
Apartment was simple but with everything you need. Clean and very well presented. Unfortunately my wifi code didn’t work but I could have enquired to resolve but it didn’t matter. Will stay again. Parking was across road at multi car park but easy to use.
We enjoyed another great stay at the Quest, Launceston. Location excellent, Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotless and provide everything you need to make a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
We wanted a place for a large group, with easy access to all the top part of Tassy has to offer. Great location, easy access to town and outlining parts of Launceston, clean apartments, good service and good staff
Amazing room, Great location, great service My only complaint - it was 35C the two nights we were in Launceston and the air conditioning just doesn't reach the bedroom well enough. The windows are screwed shut - obviously as a noise protection barrier, but it was stifling. - If it wasn't as hot it would have been fine! As the weather forecast was known housekeeping not leaving the blinds open and the a/c off would have helped NOT allowing the room to heat up so much.
We stayed here for two nights on our tour of Tasmania. The location could not be better. It is in the heart of the CBD with many attractions being within walking distance. Our one bedroom apartment was spacious. The living room and kitchen area had good furniture and fittings. The washing machine and tumble dryer were welcome. There is metered parking in the immediate area but the management have an arrangement with the covered car park opposite, although we did not use that facility as we moved our car during the metered hours. Highly recommended.
