We arrived late in the afternoon and the room was ready, clean and tidy. There was a kettle with good sized mugs, tea, coffee and milk provided - bonus!! The bed and pillows were comfy and the room temp could be set to suit. There are plenty of food choices between the Hotel's Dining room menu and the MOTO complex nearby. Ample parking is available and free for hotel guests once the vehicle's registration number is listed with the Hotel.
From the very beginning it wasn't a good start. We went to check in although we didn't arrive until 12.30 and we had an early check in of 11 so many people were waiting for rooms. We stood in reception waiting for a member of staff to appear.. 10 minutes passed and after asking the house keeping staff.... A rather untidy looking young man appeared. It was like something from Fawlt Towers no apology was given to anyone stood waiting. They take your money on check in and good luck from there. Had to ask for an iron and board which were like something from the arc With as much material stuck to it unusable and pouring water everywhere. We had a family room where by the Z bed was so badly put together we had to strip it mattress and remake it all over again. Not enough towels and cups to go with the number of people staying. They had a wedding planner who plans weddings Monday to Friday but isn't there for the weekend's so when something goes wrong it's your own head to sort it out. Breakfast is charged at £7 a head included in the £119. For which my husband went down and managed to get 2 bits of meat and that was it. They didn't bring any other food out and yet again no one around!! We did write a letter of complaint but it fell on deaf ears. Good luck if you want what you pay for ... At least Dick Turpin wore a mask... Outrageous!! ... Or captive audience!?!?!
An overnight ( with our dog) and we were delighted with the facilities and service which were to their usual high standard. The staff handled the noisy but jovial Hen party with sympathy and accommodated the young irish dancers with the same empathy.
The room was OK but we encountered a few problems during our stay. On the plus side, I was best man at my friend's wedding and being able to check in at 11:00 was very useful. Problems: 1. Toilet in our room had not been cleaned properly. 2. No information in the room about what time breakfast was served. I found out afterwards that my brother-in-law had asked at the front desk the previous night and was told breakfast was served until 11. We went for breakfast just after 10 and were told it was no longer being served. Had not paid for breakfast in advance and there were facilities very nearby so this was a not a huge inconvenience.
Now on my third working week. Good value mid week but needed to stay Friday quoted £139. Saturday £179. Last week I paid £55 per night. Well worth £55 but I would have to mad or desperate to pay anything over £75 as other hotels within a few miles over better value if available.
We were allocated a 2nd floor room at the back which overlooked the countryside. The hotel is at the back of the services and there is plenty of room to walk our dog.. We declined breakfast as it continental and there is a Gregs right outside which sell excellent breakfast baps. Can't fault this hotel and would use it again. We walked into Wetherby, a lovely little town with a river. This took us under an hour. From Wetherby we caught a bus into Harrogate.
I needed a cost effective overnight accommodation near Boston Spa. Days in has great location on Jcn 42 A1M. Clean and comfortable no frills. I paid £41 (not inc breakfast) Only continental breakfast offered but services nearby had anything you like for breakfast. a good hotel at a great price.
A good sized bedroom and wet-room shower room. Tea making facilities. Heating in room, opening windows. A good breakfast at extra cost. Parking is free. Next door is a service area with plenty of eating areas and a M&S foodhall. Very convenient for long North South journeys and Yorkshire Dales. Will use again.
Just off the A1 (M), the Days Inn has great rooms and lovely buffet breakfast. The fresh friut salad was really nice. Stayed 3 nights for a wedding nearby and would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Free Wi-Fi too! If you didn't want breakfast, there is a Greggs and Services restaurant nearby.
This is s good stopover hotel, friendly and quiet with a good continental breakfast. Although room and bathroom was clean there was some empty wrappers in the room, which were not picked up before we stayed.
