Very helpful, personable staff, clean & bright room with comfortable king size bed and hot water for showering & free wifi, private terrace with chairs & table, huge pool & plentiful lounge chairs, hearty breakfast choices (including fresh fruit & wonderful Costa Rica coffee), several beaches within 15/20 min drive. Enjoyed having the choice to partake in the nightlife found in Tamarindo, or the nature, peace & quiet of the hotel.
I stayed in room 4, it wasn't very busy this time of year, so quiet. Beautiful pool area and grounds, good breakfast. Roberto the general manager was superb, friendly and helpful and works hard to ensure guests have a pleasant stay. Somewhat isolated but easy enough to find a way to Tamarindo.
So glad we came here! The hotel is nice & very familiar with the brand. First time traveling outside the US so it's nice to see a familiar name. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean, free breakfast. Very good food
Very accommodating, very helpful, very clean , very nice people. Not 5 star but very nice and comfortable. Can't walk to Tamarindo or the beach but it is a short cab ride or drive. We caught tuna and brought it back to the hotel and they made shashimi and seared tuna steaks for the four of us for two days. Well worth the money!!!
Just returned from 5 night stay at the Best Western Camino Tamarindo. If you want Peace and Tranquility this is it! It doesn't look like much from the road but don't pass this jewell up! Pass the front desk awaits an oasis! Hugh beautiful pool Restaurant and bar. Excellent staff takes care of any and all needs. The owner Rita was on site ever morning addressing any needs you may have. The only negative it is away from downtown Tamarindo we had a rental so not a deal breaker.
This is my third stay here in the past year and it has been pleasurable as always. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and helped solve some minor problems. My only recomondation is to install a back up electric generator as there were nightly blackouts without even emergency lighiting. Aside from that, i strongly recommend this hotel.
Not enough words to describe this amazing place, the extra mile situation that made our stay amazing was the willingness and kind staff. Location it's perfect if you want to setup your camp near most of the best locations (Tamarindo, Flamingo, Conchal, Prieta, Sugar Beach and Danta). Great food, nice pool area, perfect family rooms. Not a single complain.
Our first visit to the Tamarindo area. We stayed here as recommended by the other couple we traveled with. We were not disappointed. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and updated. The entire staff was very friendly and respectful. The hotel is very quite at all hours of the day and consequently a great respite, away from the noise of town. Roberto, the manager, worked with us on a minor change in our travel plans that was much appreciated. When I return, I am staying here. Tom Smith
This is not Dreams or Secrets but it is definitely a great 27 room hotel that gives you plenty of privacy and relaxation with all the bougainvillea growing around the rooms and poolside. The rooms are clean, although the beds are kind of hard. The staff are friendly and helpful if you need an excursion booked or a taxi. Taxis fares to Tamarindo town are $10.00usd. Excursion might seem pricey but they are well worth it. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who prefers not having all inclusive.
Booked a last minute Air Canada vacation to this hotel. Very simple but clean and the pool area is three steps from your room and is lovely. We often had the pool to ourselves when having an early morning swim and coffee. Our air conditioner was not working properly the first night and it was fixed by the next day. The restaurant and housekeeping staff are wonderful. You probably want to rent a car, as the hotel is very isolated on a highway, about a 10 minute drive from Tamarindo. If you take taxis, it will cost about ten US dollars or 10,000 colons one way. Be sure to try the Pangas Beach Club for a romantic dinner on the beach in Tamarindo. We rented a car from Randal with Solid Car rental, which is right on site. He was very helpful and we loved having a car to explore other area beaches and communities.
