We were a group of 8 friends from LA, NC and MN enjoying vacation. The Coast was perfect. The staff, including Wendy, Bernardo and Antonio were amazing. They communicated before we arrived, arranged airport transfers, arranged our tour to Ricon de la Vieja Volcano National Park, helped us order in an amazing roasted chicken dinner and generally took care of all our needs. The Coast is a small boutique hotel, very clean, right on the water. A 5-7 min walk down the beach (10-15 by street) to town. It sits next to the Langosta Beach Club, which has incredible food, great for lunch and dinner. It also has a beautiful pool if you want a change of scenery from The Coast pool. Be sure to take a surf lesson from Carlo (he will be in the courtyard of The Coast). We went in the off season to avoid the crowds and it was muy tranquillo- perfect for us.

The Coast Beachfront Hotel was beautiful, clean, and had excellent service. Right on the beach and steps away from food and shopping. All staff were very helpful and went above and beyond to take care of our needs. I would highly recommend this hotel

Just arrived, beautiful hotel, beautiful room, just very disappointed to find they are doing Reno’s next door, lots of banging, drilling noise making it unpleasant to sit outside your room or by the pool. I’m assuming this goes on all day, they did offer to take us to the beach club down the street if we wanted a pool day, but wish we’d known about this when we booked, not sure how long it is going on for so check before you book.

Spent 1 night for our anniversary Sept 3rd. The hotel is modern and impeccably clean. The staff were wonderful! They even went out of their way to make special arrangements in our room with wine, chocolates and flowers for our celebration. Would definitely recommend!

Can't say enough about this place, it's great! Accommodating staff beautiful grounds, clean rooms nice and cool! Wonderful beach access and beach front room rooms! Thanks again to Antonio and all the staff for a wonderful stay!

Much better than an all-exclusive resort. We rented the beachfront suite and loved our choice. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about the area; they also give great recommendations. You don’t need to plan anything because all you need to do is walk down to the beach. A short 5-minute walk and you will be offered surf lessons, kyack options, tour options, etc. The room itself has a kitchen with all the cooking necessities you need. If we ever come back to Tamarindo, we will be staying here again.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 wonderful nights on our trip to Costa Rica. We definitely would have loved to have stayed here for longer! Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We had a beautiful view of the ocean and a wonderful porch to enjoy coffee on each morning. We were steps from the beach and it was wonderful to have a beach right outside our door! The hotel provided comfy lounging chairs and wakeboards, which we took full advantage of. We also can't say enough kind words about Antonio. He greeted my husband and I each morning with an enthusiastic exclamation about what another beautiful day it was! He made lots of recommendations for us, and we followed through with several of them, and they didn't disappoint! His happiness was infectious and he was incredibly welcoming (as was all of the staff!) We can't wait to return!

We only had one night at this hotel but we made the most of it. We had a comfortable room facing the courtyard that was spacious and had a small kitchen. We walked along the beach until we found a nice restaurant for dinner and felt safe walking back in the dark along the water. Next morning, we had a small breakfast by the pool and went to explore the tide pools on the beach. We also enjoyed the shady lounge chairs laid out by the hotel on the beach, under the palm trees. The manager, Sandra Cartin, went out of her way to be helpful. We had forgotten our passports in our previous hotel and she got them back for us. She saved our vacation!

Stayed here in mid-June with my husband and 16-year-old daughter. The staff was great, the room was nice, comfortable and looked right out at the beach and beautiful sunsets. The beds were comfy, ice-cold air conditioner, refrigerator, stovetop and sink. Didn't use these but hairdryer, coffeemaker and iron were available. We used the room safe as well. You could lock up your car behind a gate, the gate to beach was locked at night and there was security around all the time. Felt very safe here. They had lounge chairs and other items you could use on the beach, as well as outdoor showers, a pool and continental breakfast. The room was cleaned very well and the grounds were well-kept each day. We saw monkeys, iguanas and even a bat from our balcony. You can walk or drive to town for meals, drinks and souvenirs. Walking along the beach instead of the road (no sidewalk on part of it) to town was safer and more enjoyable. I would not walk either at night though. Highly recommend.

We love this small personal Hotel. The rooms were just the right size with a small kitchen including a refrigerator sink and microwave. the property is right on the water so it was an easy walk out to the beach. We enjoyed their chairs also under the trees for some shade. Complimentary beach chairs and boogie boards. The front desk staff were extremely nice, helpful and informative. Great 4-day stay.
