Read reviews before I booked room for 4 nights. Did not need fancy, wanted quiet and comfortable. Visiting family so only in room to sleep, shower and have Internet access. Almost did not book as took 4 phone calls to get through to motel as was arriving after a 6 hour drive and as small, assumed family owned place did not want to have difficulty checking in due to later arrival and a bit variable arrival time due to drive time and weather. Got through on last call and later arrival secured. Room quiet, comfortable, internet access good, bathroom clean. Only one plastic hanger on rack, a bit of a concern about lock on door as only door knob lock when gone, dead bolt when in room better. Will return as family in area for another year.

Upon arrival the girl at check-in was pleasant. Luckily it was before the front desk closed, because when we got to the room after a very long day we didnt have enough toilet paper for both of us to go the the bathroom. There were also no tissues at all in the room. That was not the first impression of the room, as the smell we walked into was as if someone had jut eaten crabs or crab cakes in there! Ugh. We were lucky enough to get some toilet paper from the front desk. When we went to put the air conditioner on just to try and recycle the air, it was covered in dust. There was also a dirty, sticky spot on the floor. I didnt even mention the hairs on the sink and bathtub. We did not shower here, but my sister did leave little notes everywhere of what needed to be cleaned.

Here is another motel not ADA compliant even though there are a couple of handicap parking spaces. The main part of the motel is split level so you have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the office. To gain access to the lower level rooms, you either have to walk down a flight of stairs or go around the back to a door. There isn't a sidewalk down to that door so you have to make your way down a hill in the grass. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the room was. It was quite clean and everything was nice. Wifi available. No breakfast provided.

The desk man was efficient and kind. My room was pretty bad. On arrival, the trash bin did not have a liner, there was take out spaghetti from a previous guest left in the refrigerator, two lightbulbs were out and a window would not shut. The manager brought me a liner, took the past guest's left over food and fixed the window. However, when I said that he might want to tell the chambermaid about the food, he said she would just say she never made mistakes. It was not worth it The toilet kept running and instead of hassling them, I dealt with it. The toilet paper was the kind that is probably about 25 cents a roll. The people were nice but the room was just not prepared well. Also, my lampshades were cracked and there was quite a bit of chipped paint in the tub. I generally stay in hotels in the 60-100 range so I am not one to expect flufffy towels or fancy accoutrements.

I travel a lot and was disappointed in Wickford Motor Inn. The room was very outdated, furniture was old and in bad shape. walls were old dark brown panelling, rug looked like it was from 1970, bathroom was old pink tile that was broken /cracked. Towels were disgustingly dirty. Hair in the bead. I will never stay at this place again. there are a lot better places to stay in the area.

ask to check the room before taking it. most rooms are fine, lower priced as it is an older location. however if you are staying for one or two nights it is not a problem. Just off of the main street and has good parking, the place is clean and I did stay a while back for two nights and the bed was fine, they kept it clean, towels and linens were not any problem. bedding was fine. a bit old fashioned but good stuff and kept in good shape. you will not have any problems at this location.

I got room 108 this trip, good improvement compared to 107. Nicer room though it shows wear and tear. Bed was clean and comfy; bathroom clean, great shower. Minimum contact with staff. Motel is old, but convienent for me.

When I arrived no one was at the window and I could see other customers information. The room was clean but the curtains were paper thin. Since we were on the lower level all the lights from people parking came right in. We went out to see if anyone could see in and they certainly could. Both the front and back door are left wide open allowing anyone to enter. I would not stay here again.

Okay, so this is not your typical motel; but it is very clean and priced perfectly for a one-night stay! The owner was very polite, but stern. It was like dealing with your grandmother or aunt. The room looked exactly like the picture, pancake pillows and all. The bed was soft, but comfy. The sheets and towels where pure white and the room, while seriously dated, I am talking paneling people, was very, very clean. Our room didn’t have a closet, but my sister’s room did??? We had a microwave and fridge, but no coffee pot. You will have to check out the local Java Spot for your morning cup of Joe (about a 1/2 down the road). I had a feeling each room was just a little different than the next. The bathrooms were a decent size and very clean as well, and actually had hot water. It is a great location for exploring the South County area with access to major chains like CVS and Stop-n-Shop. You will also find quaint local restaurants and antique and unique country stores. For the price and location, you can’t go wrong; but if its luxury and style, or even a pool you’re looking for……NOT! I also don’t think it’s a good place if you have children. The rooms are way too small for two adults never mind two adults and a child or two. If I had to spend one more night there I would. 

You have to understand this is an older building. Don't expect brand new Vegas frills. That being said, this was better than expected. My room was roomy with a fridge, stove top, kitchen sink, free WiFi and a nice sized Vizio flat screen TV. Bed was clean and comfy. Plenty of chairs and lighting. Quiet nights sleep to boot. Plus, the property is "smoke-free". Satisfied customer, thanks.
