Still, if sleddin' is not your thing, the area is rich with all manner of winter activities to experience and enjoy. Even closer are many lakes and rivers, including the Ottawa River, where you can try your hand at ice fishing. And if it is winter solitude you are after, walk 5 minutes in any direction on snow shoes and you will find a secluded winter paradise among the towering pines and shimmering spruces.
Eganville Cabin sleeps 4 comfortably, but could easily be expanded to accommodate several more friends and family. Just get cozy!
And don't worry about forgetting to pack food for the trip...Foodland is right next door, where you can get anything you need. Including prepared meals, for those days when you just want to be lazy in the warm cabin.
Also handy to our cabin in the woods is the Beer Store (just a walk down the road), LCBO (just a little further down the road), and if you need a helping hand with your sled, just visit the awesome staff at Castle (across the street) and discover their extremely knowledgeable and friendly small engine repair staff.

Location was good, Beds were good. Place was very clean. Only one bedroom had curtains, only 2 rooms had windows with screens, so couldn't open them during the prime mosquito season when we were there. Half the electrical outlets in the rooms didn't work. Shower pressure was very good, but the shower knob was an interesting configuration. And never received a reply to my emails.
